RE: GREAT MEN WALK THE STREETS TOO: Exploring the power of untold stories in shaping society

in #memoir6 years ago

Hi @cheetah. Thanks. It was sourced from my blog. I posted it a while ago on my blog. However, I thought it'd make a great read here and make for great conversation too.

This cheetah is a bot that automatically scans works uploaded on steemit for plagiarism. I'd advice you write and post here first; then you can copy to your blog. Thanks.

PS: You write beautifully.

Hi @greenrun
Oh I see! I think I'll take your advice going forward. However, there are some pieces already on the blog that I'd love to share here. Is there any consequence for posting stuff already existing somewhere else even if you tag the source?

Yeah, the consequences is that you'd be tagged a spammer/plagiarist. If I'm you I'd only post things here first then you are free to post in your blog or share elsewhere after. The platform is particular about plagiarism and take an action (downvote, flag, etc) on those that do so. But you are free to always share your original contents here FIRST. You can reference an article in a work, but plain old copying and pasting an entire content from an article is prohibited.

If you want to quote a small part of an article you use the quote markdown > in front of the article. For instance,

Almost everyone had something to say about the movie, The Black Panther but I think this particular review is a good one.

Wakanda was portrayed as a technological giant, which ruled great kinds, supported by a council, and traditions are held in high esteem. But it was easy to see that most of the decisions are those of the king, which presents serious institutional problems. Institutional order in the dispensation of justice could have helped handle the betrayal of Wakanda by the king's brother, which would have prevented the hatred of Wakanda, which filled the heart of the nephew who was left behind. Do I think the movie is an overrated one? No, I think it's good, maybe the hype made some anticipate something more.

Above is just the only acceptable way to quote some excerpts which is allowed on here without incurring the "wrath" of cheetah, steemcleaners, or other members of the steemit community.

Steemit is fun way to socialise, as a Nigerian, I'm happy to see another fellow Nigerian on here. People usually hang out on discord (there are loads of servers to hang out on if you are into that sort of thing) when they are not steeming (writing articles on steemit).

Welcome again to steemit. Feel free to reply to this if you want more information on anything here. Cheers.

You write beautifully dear..
Well done!

Thank you so much @greenrun
I'll definitely take you up on the offer to reach out when I need help.
I'll do as you've said going forward. Thanks

@nma.negrifille, ok. That would be awesome.

Thanks @greenrun I'll take your advice...

@prozien, that would be awesome.
