However the confirmation mail never arrived neither in the inbox nor in the spam. Double checked
I thought I should let you know .. Not sure if its a bug or a partial system down time.
Though sign up through google worked for me

    Its a bug we are working on. We had the email confirmation stuff disabled when we were on the test server. This should be fixed very very soon. Until then you can still use gmail/fb sign-in.
