The shut down depend on congress working out a compromise and well congress is made up of morons on both sides and they decided they would rather have Christmas vacation than staying late and fixing the problem. Trump is forcing congress to do their jobs and work together which again they seem incapable of. I place all the blame on congress for only passing stop gap measures that have to be redone all the time.
