I have mixed opinions for this one.

On one hand, you obviously don't choose your passions because you can't just force yourself into liking something so deeply that you can't imagine your life without it.

But on the other hand, if you were raised practicing a certain type of skill, like how some parents make their kids follow a particular field from the very early stages, then you subconsciously start to see it as your passion without actually choosing it for yourself.

yes most of the time passion choose the person, but what about us who has multiple passions and don't know which is the best for us. I already passed 30 years and I still don't know in which profession I am best. which is my passion. or is I am so bad no any one passion choose me.

At first i want to say you are absolutely right according to me i never judge others opinion because every one have their own point of view..........so i never want to judge it. According to your quotes i want to say, there is lots of people in this world and they have different mentality with different different situations. Most of the people do not understand what is the right and what is the wrong for them, they are just confuse, Here's one thing that works, that called the situation. Most of them lost their passions from this time. They do not have the opportunity to bring their passions out.But despite all this, we should look for our passion, one day these passions will find us right away.Let it go, there's a lot of writing but i haven't much time right now, i will continue it in next....happy writing

I think there are a lot of people who adopt the interests of the people they idolize, even if they do not realize it.

when we adopt traits that do not serve our worldview we do ourselves a disservice. It is best to be true to who we are. "to thy own self be true"

That's true. When we see someone as our idol, we pick up on everything about them that we look up to. That's why as kids, we're almost like a reflection of our parents because they are our first idols, but as we get older and meet new people, we pick up on aspects of their personality and interests as well.

If you are truly interested in what you are 'following', then it will benefit you. If not, then it's just wasted time. I think you have to sometimes go down that road in order to see it for what it is.
