This upcoming Saturday will be the First Steem Meetup in Wales! Since June of 2017 @pennsif has been hard at work on steemit. He's got some great content, keeps track of the homesteading and prepping community here on steemit and now even hosts an Alternative Lifestyle Show on MSP Waves Radio! We've had the blessing of "speaking" a few times on discord, and recently I even sent him a package! Click here to check out his unboxing video on dtube!

While it would be amazing to attend, I will not be travelling to Wales before this weekend, but if you happen to be in the area, here is the info from the post that @pennsif made.

WHEN: Saturday, 10 February 2018, 11 am
WHERE: Lampeter in Ceredigion
LOCATION: Victoria Hall in the town centre during the monthly People's Market, in the upstairs meeting room

Since @pennsif is hard at work growing the steemit community, even getting @huwsnursery the 18 year old Vegetable Gardening YouTuber to join, @pennsif and some others will be running a drop-in session for any members of the public who would like to find out more about steem and steemit. With the ambitious personal goal that @pennsif has of signing up 100 new steemians before the end of the year, opportunities like this should make a difference. PAPA PITCHES IN

While I will not be able to attend in person, I thought that perhaps I could make an appearance "in spirit" and decided to send some #free goodies over for the meetup for a #giveaway. I made a handful of original, one of a kind, steemit t-shirts in assorted sizes to be given away, and tossed in a few prints of some of the digital artwork that other steemians had blessed me with.

With about a dozen steemians already planning on attending such as @pennsif, @theadmiral0, @pumpkinsandcats, @cryptocariad, @cryptojelly, @artystuff, @monkeybots, @callumogilvy, @timmartin and @mayaliland, and with many more steemians in Wales, I'm not sure how they will decide who gets what, but I'm sure that they will have some fun with it.

After talking to @pennsif about this incredible upcoming meetup, and after verifying that he got my package, I decided to help raise some awareness and promote the meetup too. Hopefully we can inspire some more steemians to attend. After personally attending meetups in Missouri and Wisconsin, and after meeting steemians in Arkansas and Texas as well, I would strongly encourage any steemians who could possibly attend this event to go for it! Shifting this community offline and connecting in person has been incredibly beneficial for many of us, and some strong relationships have been built too!

Regardless of who actually attends or gets some free t-shirts, I can't wait to see the posts from those who make it out! Steem on!
