What is BTC Pizza Day? Why it was celebrated by crypto community around the world? In 22 May 2012, exactly 10 years ago, there was a programmer name Laszlo Hanyecz from Florida who was an early Bitcoin miner posted on bitcointalk.org forum that he was looking to buy pizza. Preferably two large ones using bitcoin. He offered 10,000 BTC to anyone who would be willing to order, collect and bring them to him. The event is to celebrate the first physical bitcoin transaction.
That I attended! It's a successful event by authorised hardware wallet/e-commerce merchant CryptoBilis. The BTC pizza day was organised in the evening 27th of May 2022 at an indoor and outdoor event space located in some industrial area.
It was Friday evening, rainy day & peak hour. I decided to take grab to the event place. When I reached the place, the music had started. Peoples are queuing for the registration, some peoples had started their happy hour, chilling, chit chatting, networking and checking out the booth.
The favourite question where the crypto community will ask. Wen Lambo Ser? So when I see lambo, I think of WEN LAMBO.
One of the earliest crypto exchange that I have used, Poloniex.
When you see lambo, you think of BTC.
