I was just telling an environmentalist friend of mine that they need to get on steemit. Another that is involved in organic farming. OMG. Totally can't hear me. NEEDS to be on this platform. The organic farmer is importing ancient breeds of chickens and breeding them. Free from all dna tinkering kind of chickens. Then she feeds them with ancient grains to insure they are pure from all chemicals and altered food.
I hope people read this comment and can realize/hear what I am saying here.
And, in my opinion, how steemit NEEDS to be part of that. I hope you agree.
It's funny, actually, how people can't hear this yet. They say they are "so busy". Or, "Can't add more stuff to my day". But when they talk about their efforts, it seems like the tiny bubble they are in can be an inspiration to millions of people over time. Well worth the time and effort.
AND... at the same time, they take pictures, document everything, have records of the birds, the contracts they make with the local farmers, all the schedules, etc. I say, GET THAT STUFF INTO THE BLOCKCHAIN BABY. Steemit is a very easy way to do that. I am determined to get more of these types of people on board.
Please follow me everybody! We are gonna make a huge impact together! Those chickens will at the very least be showing up on my feed for sure.
Now it's your turn precious readers: Go out and find people doing this kind of stuff in your area - and GET THEM ON THIS PLATFORM.
If they won't do it, can't see the value or otherwise can't hear you... YOU can still create a post about what they are doing. Organic eggs anyone?

Hey @jerrybanfield , do you have any references for steemit meet ups in different parts of the US? I would be very interested in attending something of that nature and especially while the platform is still in beta. The advantages of less minds, and minds more aimed towards the best interest of the platforms future, will be huge versus a similar meet up when the site may have exponentially more members and some motivated by unprue interests. Anyway, I'm way off on a tangent, but any info you have or anyone you may be able to suggest I follow for more info on things like this would be appreciated.

It would have been so great to attend this Steem meetup in the US. Unfortunately I am in South Africa. It would have been equally magic to perhaps have had a quick chat. I follow you and have watched quite a few of your videos and have to say that you helped me tremendously navigating Steem and valuable information to allow me to understand it better as a newby. Bring the next one to Orlando!!! Good luck with the first meet up. I'm just curious... is there an agenda or any planned events/activities? Or is it just a meetup? What do you anticipate happening? Perhaps more people might commit to going if there was a better idea of what to expect.
