Science is finally catching up to Ancient Wisdom. Yes, Meditation has been around for thousands of years, but it is only now that science is finally understanding its varied benefits and recommending* it to people, especially patients who suffer from illnesses and anxiety.

I often use mindfulness in providing cognitive rehabilitation; many good outcomes have already been reported. By practicing that feeling of focusing one's attention and thoughts, it becomes easier to self-identify when you have broken away from the desired subject of attention and bring yourself back more quickly.
