RE: The Buddhist 10 Fold Path

Both enlightening and frightening. I’ve been reading Hegel’s “Phenomology of the Spirit” and there are sections in it similar to this- He describes the mind as actually two minds that oth deceive themselves as they find truth.

The first is the true mind in reality, which struggles towards survival, the second mind is self-consciousness. Both need to believe in a true reality to survive, but both need to be aware that neither the mind in reality or self-consciousness can perceive of each other as true without their own prejudices in the way.

Bhuddhism’s Right Mindfulness along those lines seems to be seeking the reality of truth along with a balance and peace with the falsities of “truth” as it’s built between an individual’s two minds.
