You have to understand it from the doctor's perspective... Here we have a fairly wealthy man with excellent insurance- a cash cow- one pill is for treatment, then you need another for the side effects from the first one and so on and so on! The AMA is in on the plot- it's all about money. The "war on opioids" is fine- they're cheap. But these meds go for up to $1500 a month. Now multiply that by the millions that take them- they're not going to threaten profits like that!!!
