Women with low socio-economic backgrounds are 25 percent more likely to develop heart disease than men in the same group, a recent Australian study warned.
The study was conducted by researchers at the George Institute for Global Health in Australia and published last Thursday in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health.
The study covered the case of 22 million people in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia by reviewing the results of 116 previous studies.
