New Delhi: If you have not received any health insurance till now, then stop a bit. Because the Indian Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has said that it is starting the process of reducing the number of 'out' illnesses from the purview of health insurance policies. If IRDA does this then your health insurance will also include those serious illnesses which are not yet covered. According to experts, due to such arrangements, the scope of coverage will increase on the diseases. Some companies cover diseases like cancer, but their premiums are so high which the common man can not afford. By making new arrangements of Irda, all serious illnesses will be covered in low premiums.
In his order, IRDA said that the number of companies providing health insurance policies is increasing. Also, the number of products offered by them has increased. In this case, it becomes necessary that the industry adopts the same approach. All companies should adopt a similarity approach to keeping out any disease in product design. For this purpose, the regulator has formed a 10-member committee and asked him to submit his report in eight weeks. The head of the committee is Irda's Executive Director (Health) Suresh Mathur.
