Euthanasia Action By Doctors

The rapidity of modern technological discoveries results in rapid changes in human civilization. It aims to benefit the lives and interests of mankind with all its consequences. Medical knowledge can predict the likelihood of success of a medical action effort to achieve healing, reduction of patient suffering, even the calculation of the death of a patient with a particular disease can be done quickly.
Progress in the field of medical science is not impossible to invite complicated and complicated problems. If, according to medical science, there is almost no possibility of healing or reducing suffering, should one propose his right not to extend his life? If all efforts are done will be in vain or even be accused as a lie, because in addition to not bringing healing, other families will be dragged in the drain of funds that much or even more dangerous if allowed because the disease suffered is contagious diseases such as AIDS .
One of the most important issues affected by technological advances is the practice of Euthanasia. The issue of euthanasia seems endless almost at the beginning of December, to coincide with the welcoming of World AIDS Day, the issue of euthanasia is alluded to. Euthanasia is associated with AIDS, because AIDS is considered an incurable disease and to alleviate the sufferer, euthanasia becomes an offer rather than having to linger with its suffering. Euthanasia in medical terms means the act that the pain that will be experienced by someone who will die diperingan. It also means accelerating the death of a person who is in great pain and suffering before his death.
Euthanasia is usually done on the grounds that the treatment given to the patient only extends suffering alone and the treatment does not reduce the illness suffered which is already severe. Euthanization in the practice of medicine there are two kinds, namely active euthanasia and passive euthanasia. Active euthanasia is the doctor's action to accelerate the death of the patient by giving an injection into the patient's body. Injections are given when the patient's condition is very severe or in the late stages that according to medical calculations is no longer possible to recover or last long. Examples of active euthanasia, for example there is someone telling a horror with extreme pain so the patient often fainted.
In this case, the doctor believes the person will die. Then the doctor gave him a drug with a high dose (overdose) that if you can eliminate the pain, but stop breathing at once. The passive euthanasia is the act of doctors stop the treatment of patients who are severely ill, which is medically impossible to be cured. Cessation of this treatment means accelerating the death of the patient.
There is another so-called passive euthanasia that doctors discontinue treatment of patients who according to medical research may still be cured. The reason that doctors often present is the inability of the patients from an economic point of view who can not afford to pay for very high treatment funds. Examples of passive euthanasia, for example a critical cancer patient, a sick person who is in a coma, caused a collision in the brain that no hope to heal or people affected by lung disease that if not treated it can cause death of the patient. Under such conditions, if treatment against it is stopped, it will be able to accelerate his death.
In the view of Islamic law active euthanasia is forbidden because it belongs to the category of intentional killing, although its intention both eases the suffering of the patient, but the law remains haram even at the request of the patient itself. The arguments in this matter are very clear, ie the arguments forbidding murder. Both the killing of another's soul, as well as killing oneself. Because, the action belongs to the category of intentional killing (al-qatlu al-amad) which is a crime (jarimah) and a big sin. Doctors who perform active euthanasia according to Islamic criminal law will be sentenced to qishash (the death penalty for killing), by the Islamic government (Khilafah),
It is not acceptable for the reason of active euthanasia which is often raised because of pity to see the suffering of the patient so that later the doctor eases his death. This reason only sees the outward (empirical) aspect, but beyond that there are other aspects that are unknown and unreachable to humans.
