Ujo Music: Rebuilding the music industry on the blockchain or Media DApp Review

Hi guys, good morning from here. I will be reviewing a media DApp website known as Ujo Music.
Ujo music as its been called is a platform that aims at connecting music artists and music lovers directly using ethereum.
Ujo music gives the artists ability to be digital masters of there content and also assures them of there instant payment.

All of this is possible due to the Smart Contract Ecosystem,​ that simplifies all the backend technical processes, allowing creators to use it without any technical expertise.

Ujo music is an innovative application that is linked to 5Ps of innovation and its based on a peer to peer artistic growth.
As a guest on the website, you can start listening to music without being a registered user on the platform.

How To Start Using The DApp website

Firstly, you have to register as a person on the platform by clicking on ARTIST: REGISTER NOW as seen in the image below.

After which there you will see a pop-up messgae asking you to install metatask.

MetaMask is a bridge that allows you to visit the distributed web of tomorrow in your browser today. It allows you to run Ethereum dApps right in your browser without running a full Ethereum node.
MetaMask includes a secure identity vault, providing a user interface to manage your identities on different sites and sign blockchain transactions.

Installing Metamask, you will have to install its google chrome extension file and that will serve as your ethereum wallet. After successful installation of the metamask google chrome extension file, click on Metamask on chrome and you will be directed to the official website and click on Get Started to complete the installation process of Metatask as seen in the image below:

After clicking on Get Started, you will see another pop-up message asking you to import wallet [that's if you already own a metatask wallet] or you click on Create wallet. After clicking on Create Wallet, a message will show up on asking you Help Us Improve Metatask. After reading through the message, click on I Agree and create a new password to Create A New Wallet as shown in the image below.

After creating your wallet password, save the Secret Backup Phrase given to you.

Your secret backup phrase makes it easy to back up and restore your account.
WARNING: Never disclose your backup phrase. Anyone with this phrase can take your Ether forever.

After storing your metatask Secret Backup Phrase, you will have to input the phrase accordingly in a box that will be shown to you after clicking on create. Upon successful choosing of the correct Secret Backup Phrase given to you, you will receive a congratulatory message and click on ALL DONE.

Back to Ujo Music platform website page, click on ARTISTS: REGISTER NOW again and you will be notified by metamask wallet if you want to connect or link Ujo Music to metatask. Click on Connect as shown in the image below to connect Ujo music to metatask.

After successful linking of metatask to Ujo music, you will be requested to Sign a Request. Click on Sign. Then go back to Ujo music to complete your registration [First Name, Last Name, Email Address].

Ujo Music is composed of:

1. Music Collection: Here you will find the various collections of musics or songs by various artists.
2. Badges: A digital collectible that will permanently represents your connection with an artist.
3. Music Group: Here you can create a music group which will be comprised of various music artists.
4. A section r a tab for Homepage.
5. A tab for FAQ.
6. A tab for Terms of Service, Legal Agreement, Liability.

Things that are good about the Ujo platform.

The platform has a great web design and one can connect to other music artists and help them in there music career by sending ehter coin to them. Also, one can easily view his or her metatask wallet balance without logging into metatask.io. By clicking on Discover, you will get to see and explore various songs composed by various artists and also be able to listen to their songs.

The UJO platform, with all its decentralized capabilities and end-to-end market connections, promises to put the artist on the top of the chain, rather than the bottom, which could possibly become an incubator for the production of improved content for the public. With all the responsibilities transferred from the middlemen to the creator, customization of the platform becomes possible where artists can tailor the platform as per their needs.

Things that are not good about the DApp [Ujo Music]

Ujo music is monopolized by third party intigators and this gives way for illegal works and pirated distribution of the content of the various artists.

In Conclusion, Ujo Music helps to create a good communication link between various music artists that are on the platform and its hepls the artists to earn ether coin [ethereum]. It uses metatask crypto wallet as a means of receiving reward from the platform. It has a section for music collection whereby one can have access to various songs composed and posted by various artists on the platform.
