Never Blogged Before

This is the first blog of my long life - over 65, let's leave it at that. I am excited about this though - I hope it'll be fun. I love to write. I can thank Anthony, who also blogs on Steemit and told me about it. He says he isn't a writer, and instead does software programming. Funny how someone with such skills with numbers, doesn't really think of himself as a writer.

So, I guess the first thing to write about is myself? I'll admit that could take a lot of paper (screen). I've been writing a book for quite some time now (don't ask me how long) and maybe this blogging will help me to finish it. :) Let's hope so. Anyway, I live in NY. I have been here for an extended stay, you might say - came in 1965 and just can't leave. Each cold snowy winter, like so many others living here, I gripe about it, but then suffer through and wait for the glorious Spring we all look for and the other two gorgious seasons that follow.

I have children, one lives here in NY and two live in N.C. My sons, who live in N.C. have tried to get me to move, but it always fails, as much as I hate winters up here. I am also blessed with nine grand kids., who know me as Grammy. If you like, you can call me by that name too. There is a space below that has a (Required) in red, but I have no idea what it's for....anyone? Hmm.... :( I'd like to keep writing, but that "Required" is annoying me..... I'll just ignore it.... Amazing how our minds keep going back to something we really don't want to think about. Well, it's late anyway, so until the next time....this was fun!
