The most anticipated and hyped fight of my lifetime has just concluded and for all the speculation that it would be a fake choreographed dance, funded by the exploitation of bigotry and racial prejudice in America (and world wide), or at least the hatred of Floyd Maywheather, it can officially be said that this was a real fight.

I have always been a little ashamed to acknowledge that I know who Demi Lovato is, but she legit killed the national anthem. It was amazing, so ashamed no more.

Floyd was getting his ass kicked. The first three rounds of the fight, were awarded to McGregor by the commentator, of course this is the same commentator, Paulie Malignaggi, who sparred with McGregor prior to the fight, but I have to agree with his score card.
Conor was doing an exceptionally good job at keeping Floyd at a distance while still getting off some shots.
Floyd constantly huddled, nearly in fetal position to avoid Conor's attacks.
On numerous occasions Floyd turned his back to Conor, and while hunched over guarding his head, Conor just pounded away at him.
It became very clear early on that McGregor could easily beat Floyd in a street fight or in the octagon, but clearly this was something out of his comfort zone.
The ref broke up multiple grapples between the two, but these were not normal boxing clenches. In almost all of them it appeared as though Conor had the best of Floyd, and the ref had to save him. That said, the ref was clearly doing his job by the book and accounting for Conor's adjustment curve.
Experts said the fight would turn around in round 6 and that is exactly what happened.
It seems like Floyd was well aware of Conor's ability to knock him out early on, so he played possum.
Near round 6, it was clear that Conor was tired and that is when Floyd came through with a second wind.
By round 8 Conor was a shell of what he was in the earlier rounds and Floyd seemed ot be having his way with him.
In round nine, Floyd was tearing Conor apart and by round ten, the ref had to stop the fight when Floyd started throwing a barrage of punches at Conor's face, most of them connecting and Conor was toot tied and winded to return any shots.
Summary: Floyd is still undefeated, and MMA is better than boxing if you ever plan on getting into a fight where a ref might not be there to save you from getting your ass kicked until your opponent is tired.
It was a better fight than I expected and I was rooting for McGregor. I agree he looked good early, but didn't land anything really significant that appeared to hurt Money. It was one of the most entertaining fights I have seen in a long time and I thought Conor's more fluid MMA style gave Floyd some problems early. McGregor didn't press that early advantage enough though it seemed. I think if you go back and watch, the 8th round was maybe the best round of the night, but after that it went down hill quickly. Good analysis.
good job
