The Art of Living Free | Just Being

in #matrix6 years ago

I am sure many of you that work for a living have had this feeling: you wake up on a weekday and you have no desire to drag yourself into the office or the shop for another day of monotony, repetition, and sheer boredom. The thought of just wasting your time there all day performing meaningless tasks causes your soul to cringe. Nine more hours. This is the feeling you have when what you do for a living is no longer serving your higher purpose. This is the awakening to the fact that, even though you are capable of doing your job, quite well perhaps, but it no longer satisfies you. The time is spent longing for freedom. At that moment you are not thinking about your paycheck, but of course, as soon as the thought sweeps into your mind, motivation suddenly manifests and you can muster on for another day.

We are in a great time of change on this planet and I know many people are feeling this right now in their lives. The feeling described above can become so persistent and so intense that you may find yourself valuing freedom over stable income. The soul wants to be free. This may happen subconsciously as it did in my case; I still got my job done and those I served were happy with my service but my heart was no longer in it – my mind was often wandering and thinking of greater things. In this contemplation, I realized that it is more important to make a life than it is to make a living. You see, when you are focused on making a life - that is, earning a living with your lifestyle - that which you need to pay the bills will be there.

We are so connected now with each other. Never before in history has this been such a case. Half the world is now online and this gives birth to a new type of economy - the "uber" economy. This is referring to the types of businesses and services that are available today online, that did not exist even just ten years ago. By being so connected, transactions are now much more transparent, leaving a clear path for producers and consumers to interact directly versus a chain of people, each taking their cut along the way. No longer does one have to succumb to a 40+ hour a week slave encampment to put food on the table and pay the bills. The key is to have a lifestyle you are passionate about.

Many people are quite satisfied with their jobs working for other organizations and this is perfectly fine due to the dynamics of the human race – we need people at all levels. I am talking about those who have a burning desire to be more; to ride the momentum of this energy wave; to be creative and to produce something unique. If you are the type of person who spends your time day-dreaming of all these great things you want to do to improve your life and make this world a better place, you are a candidate for making a living from a lifestyle and moving out from the old paradigm.

To get started, all you have to do is follow your heart. If your heart yearns for freedom from whatever cage you have placed it, let it free and do not fear! This might mean leaving your job, or a significant but toxic relationship; it may even take you to another place. When you get your time back, get busy! Take your passion and do it like a professional. Spend hours every day focused on just that! It does not need to be a rigid nine to five; make your own schedule and work on your time. What you will likely realize is that you find that you are worth so much more than you were in your previous “life” and that opportunities present themselves all the time. Just watch for signs like 555 and 1111 appearing notably, showing you that you are on track! The power of your is incredible when you allow it to reach its potential.

From this perspective, you can see that worrying about money is not necessary yet mindfulness of your income and expenses is. Try not to mix emotion with finances; it is difficult, but the discipline must be in place in order to succeed in just being you. This is easily accomplished with good record keeping and meditation. Take time each day to just sit quietly or take time for activities such as walking, running, and biking in nature which allows your mind to quiet. It is all about immersing yourself in the now and that which is around you in the present moment. This quiet time provides the insight you will need to succeed in life. Then you must trust the Universe and pursue your dreams! Remember, being poor is not about lacking money; it is about lacking a dream. If you have a dream, take action, practice mindfulness and you will succeed at just being. And that is WAY cooler that just surviving!
