[INTRODUCING] SteemMarket - The FIRST Marketplace to buy, sell and rent goods and services with STEEM!

Introducing the Steem Marketplace. This is the first marketplace where the only currency accepted is Steem. On this site you can post goods or services for sale. You can also post announcements, giveaways and offerings.

The reason I put this site together is three-fold.

1. I've read a few posts on SteemIt about the need for a marketplace.

2. I wanted to create a site where only Steem was accepted.

3. I wanted to add value to the community.

What SteemMarket is?

• SteemMarket is a place for the Steem community to buy and sell goods and services using only Steem Dollars or Steem. 
• It's a place to offer your talents, used items or creations to the SteemIt community for barter or purchase. 
• It's a place to spend your hard earned Steem.
• It's a place to rent your couch or spare room to one of our many travel bloggers.
• It is a temporary solution until the Steem team builds a marketplace on top of the Steem community.
• It is a place to message the seller or provider and for the seller or provider to create a reputation in the community.
• It's 100% free and always will be.

What SteemMarket isn't?

• SteemMarket is not an app built on the blockchain therefore it is not decentralized.
• It is not a place to offer illegal or illicit goods or services.
• It is not a place to defraud other Steem members.
• It is not affiliated with @dan or @ned or the Steem team.
• This is not anonymous.

Escrow is Available to those who want it

I will offer an escrow service for all purchases on the Steem Marketplace.

With that said, I know other users have offered to run escrow services as well. Please see the links below.

Also, @dan has mentioned adding a native escrow service as well. So this could be in the works.

Now, I fully am aware that a native marketplace is in the works and that it is part of the bigger Steem roadmap. The SteemMarket is simply a pet project and will stay available until either, people do not find it useful (which might be immediately) or when the native marketplace is in place.

Keep in mind that this marketplace is in beta and will be until further notice.
