You see it everywhere around you. Everything must nowadays be an 'experience' or 'journey'. The 'customer journeys' and 'experiences' are flying around you while you just wake up and look at your phone with one eye.

You get the idea that you have to do something or that you will miss something if you do not participate.

Say what ?! Stay close to yourself and build a customer relationship

Sponsored advertisements are regularly seen on social media. There is nothing wrong with that in itself. But it is often the content and design that makes it just over the top.

Which means that I experience it as a 'fake'. It is just too slick and too good to be true. This creates a distance between me and the message.

It is 'far from my bed show' and I cannot identify with the message/organization on the person.

Japke-d. Bouma gives hilarious examples of itching words that are used a lot in the business world and explains them to you.

For example, 'scrumming' is completely in and working 'agile' is part of the order of the day.

The customers go on a 'customer journey' with which we make a 'co-creation' and then 'boost' them. Well worth following her.

By keeping things close to yourself as a person or organization, your credibility remains intact.

You speak from yourself and you do not give a kind of representation.

What you tell or translate to the outside is genuine. And precisely with that, you can make a connection with the receiver. Without this connection, there is no chance of success.

What is still real in (digital) marketing nowadays?

Sprayed lips, gel nails, fake eyelashes, tattooed eyebrows, colored hair, tan for a beautiful tan ... Well, you can wonder where it goes.

Marketing has considerably influenced our view of the world. The people we are shown daily have a perfect figure, no pimples and also look intensely happy.

But that is of course not life. But because you are confronted with it, you still live by it or think that those people are the standard.

Can you imagine it? A world without advertising? No logos, no spells or great pay-offs?

You should read the book No Logo by Naomi Klein.

In it, the strategy of companies that focuses on selling their brand instead of their product is exposed. What would the world look like if there were no brands?

No stores with an assortment that you say against. The choice would be greatly reduced.

How can you organize your internet marketing? Respond to customer needs

As far as I am concerned, good marketing is translating your message in such a way as it actually is. Without fuss.

Knowing what your target group needs and with which you can help people.

Make sure you make that connection. Make sure your service level is optimal. And I am always available. You can do this through a chatbot.

This way, customers can always come to you and you can come back to it at a time when it suits you.

With this, you offer the customer the possibility to come to you at any time and to ask for advice. In addition, be thankful that people contact you and call in your help.

Show that you would like to help them further and can provide them with sound advice. In addition, let people see and feel what lives and plays in you / your organization.

There are probably people who see similarities and recognize things that you convey. Get in touch with each other. Exchange your thoughts. And listen!

Be open to what the other person has to say. I personally love the cabaret duo Yentl and de Boer. Not only their shows but also on social media. They show a 'normal' life.

And have so much humor in their everyday activities. They don't make it more beautiful than it is and just tell what is. And their shortcomings are also simply mentioned.

The opinion of others counts when it comes to creating customer loyalty

Reviews. In other words, let someone tell you what he/she thinks of you and why. In this digitized world, we like to read reviews.

Request reviews in a humorous way and let the customer know that they understand you.

This gives you a greater chance of actually receiving feedback. Take a look at Coolblue, for example. They know how to approach people in such a way that everyone is satisfied and gets a smile from it.

Pieter Zwart (director Coolblue) says; "Every customer with a smile, we don't do it for less". We want to know how others have experienced the product or service.

We used to ask the neighbors or family questions about experiences. But since the internet has emerged, nothing has been so useful to read from others what their findings are.

And with that, you also have a sincere opinion. And there is still no better form of advertising than word of mouth.

The only real failure in life is not to be faithful to the best version of yourself.
