Hey xup, I greet you specially. I want to talk about this topic I feel a lot of people over look.
People are so focused on getting customers/followers that they forget the importance of keeping these customers/followers interested in your product or service.

For you to keep on being relevant more often you need to keep your existing customers/followers interested in your stuff.

Moreover, it is easier and favorable to keep existing customers, than even finding new once.
I want you to keep calm and learn this wisdom I am about to share with you on this post, it’s something that’s going to help you in all industries of the business world.

Below are 7 practical ways you can use to keep your customers/followers:

  1. Sell them what they actually want: People only buy or even follow you because you offer what they want, so you want to make sure your “core product” actually gives your customers the value you they actually want. If you published comedy videos here on steemit and you gain followers because of that its best you keep giving them the type of content that made them follow you in the first place if not you are going to lose their attention over time.

  2. Provide added value: You want to make sure to give your customers/followers MORE, people always love more for less. Try and think of a way to give more than just your core product to your customers/followers. Say you sell cloths online, finding a way to give your customer free delivery would really help you provide more value to them.

  3. Referral bonus: Referral bonus is a great way not only to get you customers but for you to also retain your existing once. I love this system a lot, nothing bad for you to just appreciate your customer for bring a friend to you and patronize you. It gives them a sense of value in your business and makes them really feel like part of the business. I see a lot of people having different contests here on steemit are actually doing some form of referral bonus system. Bringing more visitors to their posts, rewarding the contestants and gaining visibility for their own self.

  4. Be innovative: For you to continue to be interesting you have to be innovative, put up something new that excites your customers and followers, be creative, always give them reasons to smile. When they know your products are innovative you are always going to have their attention. When you are innovative it reduces boredom.

  5. Ask for their views: This is very powerful, always try to know the views of your customers/followers about your product/content, once in a while interact with them, take their suggestions into consideration. It makes them to feel like they truly matter to you and your business. I personally love to do this a lot, with my multi-media business. The views and suggestions of the customer/follower are priceless.

  6. Share/recommend a customer/follower with the rest of your customers/followers once in a while: This is really a great way to keep your customers; I learnt this from a lady I respect so much some time back. It’s been one of my best knowledge thus far. It’s not something a lot of people consider. If once in a while you share a great content of your follower to your other followers, you will almost certainly gain the attention of that follower/customer for life. Yes, it’s that powerful. It makes them know you truly care about them.

  7. Be nice to your work force: Yes, I just said that , do not over look the happiness of your work force, team member or even your partners. When your work force is happy to make your customers/followers happy, this then makes your customers stay with you. As simple as this a lot of companies even big corporations over look this, it’s not supposed to be. Treat your work force well if you have, if you run your business yourself treat yourself well  you are your own work force. I try as much as possible to make everybody working for me happy and it has produced really great results.

These points I just made are really going help you a lot in retaining your customers/followers. They are tested and trusted, put them into action and surprise yourself.
