RE: Are you sharing your Hive content on social media?

in #marketing4 years ago

This is a very important subject ...

With the introduction of Most Viewed sorting algorithms on Peakd.com this last week or so I have paid attention to when I share a post on social media (for me FB) both times the post has been in around the top 5 most viewed posts on all of PeakD just by sharing it with an audience that is truly interested in reading/looking at pictures. (In my case it was my actual long term friends on fb who I assume want to know what I'm up to)

A month ago i did a post about fall colors and shared it with a fb group that talks all about fall colors in utah and the post got hundreds of views.

If we really want our posts to be seen we need to put them in front of people that are genuinely interested and that still primarily happens outside of Hive for now.

Actual genuine interest in content is something I would like to focus on more with peakd ... one stat is views which has been nice to promote those that do well... when I have vote power available I use my account and peakd account to additionally award them because getting eyeballs on your posts is something that should be considered rewardable for sure.

I really love the introduction of Most viewed, so glad you guys added it.

I think general topics are critical because it will help build the long tail for search optimization and general traffic. We want people to see Hive posts when they search for mundane and every day searches. That will get us in front of more people.

I want to work on some things that are focused on sharing on different mediums as I think that's critical for Hive to be in front of more people.

well if there's anything you think we can integrate let us know.
