Social media has now become so integral to business exposure majorly due to the advent of mobile. Everyone is on one social media or the other these days.
A carefully managed social media campaign can open up your brand to a lot of opportunities, which is why I will be sharing with you things you can do either as an entrepreneur or an aspiring business owner in order to grow your social media presence.
Consistency
You should update your followers consistently. That is the most important factor for the success of any social media campaign.
Plan your posts ahead of time and determine their frequency too. You can choose to post a few times daily or a few times in a week, whichever works for you.

Research common issues that's been a challenge to your followers and provide solutions or better alternatives.
Knowing what they want to read about and what they believe in will help you understand what you need to give to them.
When you provide solutions often, they’ll trust and respect you and will always be attentive whenever you have anything to say, getting their attention is the first step in turning your followers into your customers.
Make use of all available platforms
That you prefer using some social networks over others doesn’t actually apply to your business, matter fact this type of bias could be detrimental.
You need to exploit all available medium if you want to have a successful social media campaign.
Having a presence on some social networks is a must for your business growth and exposure, this includes Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
You can choose other networks based on your market and target audience.
Add a link to your website on your profile
For every profile you open, you must make sure it features a link to your website. That way any new fan you gain from social media will be able to learn about your company products or services.
Take note of what works and what doesn’t
Some networks will work and some won’t. Don’t be disappointed when you don’t get the expected results, instead try to know the cause of the problem and see if it can be remedied.
If it’s something that can be solved by all means do it, but if it isn’t just cut that network out and shift all your focus and energy to the ones that produce desirable results.

Every social network you use should serve a purpose.
It is best if you had a marketing calendar to showcase your upcoming events, blog posts and every new update on your business that you will eventually share with your followers.

You can add social media to your marketing arsenal as a tool to build trust and authority. If approached right, marketing on social media can grow your business exponentially. This is one of the cheapest and most powerful avenues to make your business go viral.
