As the Gary Vaynerchuk adage goes, marketers ruin everything.
TV Commercial Breaks.
Internet Popups.
E-mail Spam.
Message Boards Banner Ads.
Search Paid Listings.
YouTube Pre-rolls.
Facebook Sponsored Posts.
Snapchat. Branded Content.
Steemit.
How long do you think Steemit has before the cats come?
Since native advertising is not part of the fabric of Steemit, marketers will have to be really thoughtful about how to market on Steem. It will be all about creating relationships. Or at least, faking it believably with Chinese click-farms.
Either way, it's inevitable that marketers will eventually crack Steemit.
Best take advantage of steemit while the going is good. This has to be a better option than other social media sites like facebook, youtube etc, who pay you nothing while they spy on your activities to target ads to you of which, they get all of the revenue.
Long live steemit!
Totally agree - I have a feeling that Steemit's DNA is quite resilient to shameless marketing, but maybe there is an opportunity for the smart & conscious early advertisers.
Think its already happening, genesis mining referral codes everywhere lol
Steemit has already been through some of them. Organized plagiarism - robot armies...
