I know about the dutch history. They weree and are all over the world by now painted as abusers because of history. Seems as if they are the only one's with slaves so the history will be rewritten. Celebration days forbidden.

America was built on slave labor! Not a proud moment in history and one of the reasons for the Civil War here.
Maybe I am naive, but, I have never seen the Dutch in any other light except friendly and helpful to me. But,what do I know? I lived in Europe as a guest and was always treated with dignity and respect by all. It was the most I could ever dream of.

I also do not understand it. Most European countries had colonies oversea and slaves and even human zoos.
This beside of the fact the Africans sold there own people and neighbours as a slave and even did so long after slavery was forbidden (long is about 100 years). For some reason they ignore their own part in history and still do.
Each country has parts we now think different about, but it is still history and you can not wipe it out by changing facts or wiping out celebration days.
