Mainly about Dutch history at the moment, but it varies greatly. There are also books about Maximum Power Point Tracking algorithms and one on Markov Chains waiting for me. Don't ask; let's call it mathematics.
And literature, of course, mainly Dutch, English, French and German.
I also like books just for being books, the feel and smell and all that. I managed to fit a few thousand of them in the living room; I like to have them in sight.
I cannot ever remember living without books in my life. I buy more secondhand books now that I ever used to, many because people read a brand new novel and donate it before it has been out a full week. Thank you! I appreciate it!

I had a dedicated library in my last house (moving is part of the job) and this house doesn't have one, but, I have a place to put one. But, I may be moving in less than a year, so I probably won't. Oh, maybe they will send me back to Holland or perhaps even Den Haag. I would be okay with that. I digress.
Books... Yes, how did you know I bought a few? I bought five, but only because they were calling my name! The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara. A perspective of the Civil War from both sides. The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane. I haven't read that since college. Anna Karenina and "One Hundred Years of Solitude* which I am starting tonight. I also scored The Stories of Anton Chekhov by Anton Chekhov.
