Yes!! In fact, that was a Hurdy-Gurdy! Hehe! I have no doubt that you might be a little shell-shocked as my neighborhood was like being downtown DC during the festivities!

I really wanted a hat, but, passed on it.

I really do love Boston and all the personalities and flavors of the different cities. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop in and say hello, leaving such kind words behind. I hope you had a great fourth of July!!

#MarketFriday loves you!

I remember a long long time ago Donovan's Hurdy Gurdy Man song. I really had no idea what it was or that it was "thing." I don't think i've ever even seen one and i've been playing guitar and going in musical instrument stores my entire life. How funny that is : )

Tonight is much quieter yay!

Thank you so very much : ) :) :)

The only places I have seen them are in the cities and mostly East Coast. So, I thought they probably came from Europe and looked it up.

The hurdy-gurdy, an instrument that dates back to medieval times was a favorite of French kings. The hurdy-gurdy, known in France as the vielle a roue or just vielle, has a long history and has been played by everyone from blind beggars to the nobility. The origin of the hurdy-gurdy remains unclear. See here.

In another place, they made note o Donovan's song. :)

It is so much more peaceful today! Yes!

Thank you! I've been "too busy" to look it up haha. I must go and see if i can hear one on youtube :)

You won't be sorry! :)
