Market Friday goes to Fine Food Show North (UK) with 👉🏾 @c0ff33a ☕️ 👈🏽

in #marketfriday7 years ago

This is my contribution post to #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle (👈🏽 That's her, Denise) and posted by me @c0ff33a (👈🏽 That's me ☕️) I do appreciate this one is two days early, and my last effort was a day late...but post schedules and time just do not fit in. Anyway for my Market Friday contribution take a trip with me to an exhibition at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate, UK.

Harrogate in the UK is well known for being a centre of considerable wealth, and having a big surrounding farming community. The Great Yorkshire Show is hosted at the Showground here each summer and covers everything to do with farming and more.

I'm pretty sure @fishyculture and @edthecanadian will appreciate this picture of sheep butt fondling (stop sniggering at the back @welshstacker 🐏🏃🏽‍♂️)

I'm visiting today for the Fine Food Show, exhibiting all the small business from this area that supply varied fine foods to retail stores. I know a few of my competing coffee roasting business are here, but in as long as I have been in the coffee business we are all amicable - not competitors just like Steemit we respect each others work and get along. So while checking out the show I get to chat with the good people who run business's like mine.

Casa Espresso is run just 10 miles from my own business, the owner is Nino

IMG_1739.JPG

He's there just to the left of the pillar grabbing lunch - I pop by to chat about business and the show.

He has some sweet new packaging for the coffee he roasts, it's good to catch up.

IMG_1806.JPG

I took a ton of pictures at the show, so basically I'm going to let them talk for themselves.

I also caught up with Paul and Damian of Dark Woods Coffee, these guys are killing the Speciality Coffee Roasting game Paul is well established in the UK coffee industry as an expert Barista Training and for running coffee community that trains coffee shop owners as well as doing spot checks for big chains like Costa Coffee on product and staff quality.

That's Damian left and Paul right winning an award for their Milk Under Wood espresso coffee blend, they made me an espresso Coffee using it on the stand - amazing flavour, I could certainly see why everyone raves about it. So friendly as well though, we chat business and life, not as competitors they are interested to come and visit my business to see the new weighing and packing machine I have. They say the show has been a little quiet, but often these events are more about getting your business name seen then getting customers on the day.

I know this isn't Instagram, but I missed lunch while travelling to the show so grabbed a meal while visiting, Cumberland sausage, mash and peas with onion gravy - it cost a fortune they know how to milk a captive audience so I'm hoping to recover a little in this post rewards! I should have called in a restaurant in Harrogate after the show but I had stock to deliver. It was good food though, and a nice view of the showgroud.

Tom's got the best stand, his coffee bar is in a van. When the show closes he can just drive away - beats lugging stock and equipment out of the exhibition centre - Nice work fella!

IMG_1784.JPG

And the sign says it all, thanks for visiting. I hope the magical swirl @dswigle approves of my humble Market Friday entry, on a Wednesday - I blame Paul, he keeps telling me the rules are there to be broken.

IMG_1821.JPG

The Showground itself is massive, I tried to grab some pictures driving out - I will leave some dashcam footage in my weekly vlog post if you want to see a little more.

It's been a long time since I have been to any exhibition but they can be fun to walk around. I know you were in heaven in the coffee sections. ;P

Thanks for taking us along!

Thanks, it was interesting going around looking at all the stands - and good to catch up with the competition too - and enjoy a great coffee.

My friend you HAVE to send me some of that strawberry 🍓 chipotle barbecue sauce!! 😮!!

Thanks, there were plenty of sauces to enjoy.

Can I have all the fish please

I thought Panda's ate Bamboo?

Wow! I like everything that you showed in this post. Pretty amazing, I love exhibitions. There is always so much to see and to try. And in this one you got to see what the other coffee business are offering! That is a plus!
Excellent post my dear friend @c0ff33a!

Thank you very much, it was an interesting fact finding trip out - and I did a delivery on the way back home so that covered some of the fuel cost of getting to the exhibition!

Thank you for taking a look at my post and leaving a comment.

That's a huge market!

The Great Yorkshire Showground covers a massive area, this show was in just one of many exhibition halls they have on the site. It was a really good show - thank you for dropping by.

Damn, this makes me hungry :D. Great post man, how long does it take for you to write such long posts, I find it very difficult to write long posts. This actually felt like taking a tour guided by you.

Thank you very much my friend, this post I actually didn't write so much the photos fill it out more - but it took some time and I started late last night - probably a good hour and a half. My vlog post I did last Saturday - that took me 6 hours in total to write excluding the time creating the videos that go with it!

After reading the entire post and going through all the images I felt as though I had been there in person!

Everything was well explained and I must admit that some of the pictures made me hungry and others made me drool. In any case, I am going to make myself a mug of coffee after my senses have got kindled enough.

Thank you very much, you are too kind. I took the opportunity to grab as many photos as I could for this one, I thought it might be interesting to someone.

wow! awesome your workplace.
keep it up.

Thank you very much, it's not actually my workplace but I did visit the exhibition as part of my job.

Hello friend and brother, I can only tell you to come by here to say hello and to run my hand down your back
Hola amigo y hermano, solo puedo decirte que pase por aquí a saludarte y a pasar mi mano por tu espalda

Thank you very much for calling by, feel free to drop in whenever you fancy!

there is, I have had work and still not done my market, which I love hehe.
I thought the English were from Te, I love coffee,
When I saw another entry as you toasted I thought you were a coffee maniac and sesulta that you have those majestic hands that make my spirits rise, every time my lips brush the blessed coffee
happy thursday friend

Thank you very much, yes I posted this far too early for Market Friday - which was confusing but it just suited my posting schedule. We do love our Tea in the UK, but coffee is also very popular. I have coffee to drink all morning, and tea all afternoon.

hello, I give you little, just coffee and coffee.
I got confused and published it yesterday hehehe head.
Happy Friday

Hey mate I nominated you on a sevenday black and white challenge. Accept it if you want :D https://steemit.com/sevendaybnwchallenge/@tonac/seven-day-black-and-white-challenge-day-3

Thank you very much, everyone seems to like nominating me for something I had no idea I was so popular. It's always a good excuse to fill out a post.

This was really great to see and seeing coffee just made me more extra happy :D

Coffee makes me happy every day as well!

Awesome post my dear friend

Thank you very much for always supporting me and leaving comments, it is very much appreciated.

Oh so much yummy food!

Yeah you see just how greedy humans can be when charging a captive audience.

You would have had a field day walking around here Paul. I can't complain too much about the food bill, the parking was free and so was entry to the exhibition. Plus I got a receipt to put the cost through the business - every little helps bring down the tax bill!

Boy, look at those faces! Those people take their sheep-butt groping VERY seriously! LOL! And what a fun show - I bet it smelled HEAVENLY in there!

The cake stands did smell good, and the cheese sections were very tempting. I'm pleased you liked the sheep picture lol. Thanks for dropping by, very much appreciated :-)

WOW thats an impressive fair/Market

At first I thought I was totally out of synch and a day out but then I read you posted early

Sorry about that, I was the one being confusing posting it early. Technically it should have been a coffee of the world post - but the last one was only on the Thursday the week before - so it seemed too soon for that on a Tuesday or Wednesday. I like to keep my posts content varied, it helps fool people into thinking I am posting something interesting!

Lol but seriously your posts are always interesting 👍

No need for sorry it’s me taking to many days off recently so I am loosing track

This looked like fun. I loved the 'this isn't instagram' comment, but was so glad you posted your food. I LOVE peas, mash and onion gravy and no one does it like the English. I only get to spend part of my year in the UK, but boy do I miss the food when back in the USA.

Thank you very much, I just wanted to get as much leverage out of that expensive meal as possible! Thank you for dropping by and leaving me a comment :-)

That's one big market you have in there! When I read the title of your post, I told myself you were going to check out the competition. Looks like you enjoyed your day! Oh, I almost forgot: the photo with the sheep is priceless. ;0)

Thank you very much for dropping by, very much appreciated. You obviously know me too well by know :-) Checking out the competition, always got to keep ahead of the game. I was looking up photos of the Great Yorkshire Showground to give an idea of the place - and somehow that particular photo just clicked with me!

Hiya, just swinging by to let you know that this post made the Honorable mentions list in today's Travel Digest!

Wow..its amazing .l just love the photos @c0ff3a

Thank you very much for looking through my post and leaving a comment.

When I saw this . . .

I laughed out loud. Funny! I'm pretty sure @fishyculture and @edthecanadian will appreciate this picture of sheep butt fondling (stop sniggering at the back @welshstacker 🐏🏃🏽‍♂️)

Looks like a great place to spend a few hours discovering new creative products. The coffee looked wonderful. Peace brother

Thank you very much, there was certainly plenty to see around the exhibition and the coffee was very good.

Im smiling too. how do you get to be a red-neck hippie? lol

Sheep butt fondling. Very nice. LOL So many cakes and preserves, wine, and CHEESE. I can almost smell the coffee clear over here. People are loosing their minds over here it seems. I am sick to the heart over children killing children. I don't know what is wrong. Very sad indeed.

Thank you very much for calling by, I'm a very big fan of cheese as well - there were some very tempting selections to enjoy.

I really love the well aged cheeses. I even love the limburger.

I wish i could go to a place like this and try all the amazing coffee's and flavours scents , textures and consistency of all the coffees get alot of samples, I love coffee so much and would love to do a review on them , I take it you work for a coffee company i did not know ... x

Ssshh, don't tell anyone about my coffee business....it's a big secret ;-)

yikes sorry :( lol ,

Wow! That was some trip around the exhibition! Sure made me hungry! I couldn't take my eyes off those cake stands with all the yummy cakes I miss so much!! I like all your own images best. You did a great job of documenting it all!

Well @c0ff33a, I can't not upvote a post with a row of sheep butts, lol! 😄 Thanks for the chuckle! The rest looks like a great show ground and exhibition. I'm sure you had a rewarding day. all the best! 😊

This all looks so yummy! I love the coffee bar in a van idea. And holy pink carpet, Batman! Makes the room bright and cheerful, at least. Thanks for taking me to the fine food show. Wish I'd been there myself to taste the goods. ;-)

This is what i said to a friend.if you truly want something to buy...wait on fridays .....fridays are special days for marketing....through tbis markerfriday challenge a lot of items will be posted and you will get to choose from here. This post is a perfect example......i did my own yesterday too...you can on @awuahbenjamin and you realized i bought myself a nice watch.

Oh, you get stars from me for those beautiful cheek butts. I grew up right out of New York City, but, suburban enough for all the neighbors to have sheep and goats. (Lions and tigers and bears, oh, my!)

The exhibitions are great and I absolutely love to peruse them. I just went to ours where they had the winter home show and I spent all day checking out all the new things on the market and some, not quite there.

Thank you for the wonderful Market Friday! I am so thrilled to have you participate!

Well, I agree, rules are made to be broken! I lost some posts because I ran over several hours on Fridays, midnight. I'm sorry I did not post then, that I respected the rule. I see that coffee attracted you more, the competitors. It is normal! I liked the coffee bar in a van, even the seller looks very good. Thanks for the presentation and the many tips.

Coffee, I can relate to, but toffee vodka? Too much sweetness. Guess it's not for the faint of heart.
You should get a setup like the guy in a van so you can split when you're done too. Great photo album @c0ff33a and that was funny about "magical swirls"
