Marijuana Grow Journal update #3 August 1st : Water change with Scorg net added

in #marijuana8 years ago

Good evening Weedlovers,

Mr Weed here with my grow journal update for August 1st. I hope you guys appreciate this as much as I do. It shard work to keep this lady nice and healthy! Don forget to upvote so I can pay my bills :)

Today's Tasks consist of a regular water change plus adding a score net to train my plant.

Scrog is a great technique I learned online. It consists of training the plant to grow throw holes on a floating trellis net above the plant. The reason for this is so you open up the plant to expose more colas to the light. The more colas the more buds! My current record 7 ounces in 1 Plant! She was a beast!

Task list for today took a total time of : 1.3 hours

Tasks:

  1. Drain out old 1 week old water (I use an electrical pump with 2 hoses)
  2. Pour in 3.5 Gallons of new fresh water (I add cold water I prepared in my fridge since this morning)
  3. Mix nutrients directly in the water and measure the PH level so nutrients can be absorbed correctly
  4. Measure and cut trellis net to fit firmly on top of plant.
  5. Tie the trellis net with zip ties
  6. Bring the net down so the branches of the plant are bent down a little
  7. Fit branches through the holes where light can reach the most of the plant. They will slowly start to look for the light through the specific holes we choose and train her.

Here a re a few pics of today's  work:

I miss Bubble Bucket grows! Heck I miss growing at all.... Sadly no room in my new spot...

What kind of LED is that?

KIND LED K3 L600 shes a beauty !

have you seen California Lightworks SolarStorm 880W LED Grow Light with UVB, I was wondering how the quality of KIND compares?

So far these KIND have been great man. I would recommend them for sure!

I'm not a weed grower, but i do dabble in hydroponic tomatoes, Would pruning the growing tips back to the leaf node assist in getting more growing end going? I use that technique with basil for a "bushier" plant. I don't know if that would be helpful or not, just curious

yes trimming must be done for sure! Im kinda waiting to see which branches will be strongest before I do. In the stage the plant grows super fast!

next week you'll see the difference :)

Hi excellent journal I will most definitely stay posted and I spotted a up-vote! Please possibly view my related posts, thanks much appreciated
