Considering that many country did not legalize Marijuana yet, the street and black illegal market is still massive. Most countries in Europe and mainly France which leads the Europe in Cannabis consumption, and UK, are infested by million tons of Fake Hash.
Real smokers know that the Hash they can buy in the street in Europe (called Soap Bar) are really toxic so they started to produce Weed or even their own Hash. You can still find some pretty decent Moroccan Hashish but the market is over flooded with crap in unbelievable quantities.
The European market for Hash is currently one of the world’s largest and most profitable. About 2000 tonnes of cannabis herb and hashish were consumed in the European Union in 2015 and the retail market has an overall value estimated to be about 12 billion Euros in the same year. Considering the quantity of Fake Hash in the market, it’s a lot of billion made with nothing. I’ll explain how the scam is done.

I’ve visited a lot of Guide on internet and never seen a good and complete documentation on how is made Fake Hash. You can find some good informations about how real hash is made though. In this guide I will try to explain HASHISH PRODUCT MARKET to STEEMIT community based on my own experience, about Hash market in Europe, and will show you different type of Hash, how they’re made, and how they make FAKE HASH

WHAT IS HASH AND ITS PRODUCTION ?

Cannabis resin also known as hash, hashish and charas is a natural product obtained by separating then compressing the resin glands, or trichomes, of a female cannabis plant. The resin is usually produced using either the hand-rubbing or the sieving (dry-sieve) method, but other extraction methods exist and will be detailed in this Guide. Depending on the separation method used, on the skills and care applied by producers, the product can be contaminated with different amounts of dirt and plant fragments/material and vary a great deal in appearance, texture, odour and even potency.

Adulterants may be added, usually to increase the weight and modify the appearance of the finished product. This is called non-genuine Hash (Soap Bar), and you can also find almost 100% Fake Hash that look, smell and burn like Hash ! That is one of the biggest SCAM in the Cannabis history that i will try to reveal and explain.

Historically, Europe has relied heavily upon production sources of cannabis resin outside the region, predominantly Morocco. Evidence has emerged of a change in cannabis resin production in Morocco that is likely to be having an impact on the European market. The kif plants traditionally grown in the Rif mountains are being replaced by cannabis hybrids of various origins that allow for much higher resin yields and THC. This has led to the emergence of a new, more potent, type of Moroccan hashish.
Some REAL hash turns to be produced in Europe but so far this seems to be restricted to individuals producing very small amounts of home-made resin hash from their own cannabis plants and for their own use.

DIFFERENT TYPE OF HASH EXPLAINED IN DETAIL

All types of Hash, from solvent extraction, to alcohol or ice extraction to the FAKEST Hash market scam recipe.

1. SOLVENT-ALCOHOL EXTRACTION (BUTANE, CO2, ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL)

Those extraction are pretty rare in Europe, even in Netherland. Different products are used to extract hash/oil from cannabis buds and trim, leaves.
Butane Gas and Co2 can make BHO (Butane Honey Oil), Shatter, Budder/Wax, and Isopropyl 99% Alcohol produce what we call QWISO Hash/Oil
The difference between all the phases is determined by how much Heat (energy) is introduced to the crystal matrix as it will grow.

1.1 MONOCRYSTAL : The SHATTER

Shatter is monocrystal. That means a piece of shatter is repeating perfectly a molecule pattern. That’s why it’s transparent. The Light is not bent very much as it passes through the crystal matrix. Shatter is very smooth, clear and solid. It’s the purest and also most potent form because of a second extraction process that removes fats, lipids and waxes. This can sometime result in over 80% THC. However it also means that terpenes are lost in the process. (Terpene is classified as organic compounds that affects Aroma and Flavor)

1.2 POLYCRYSTAL : The WAX / HONEYCOMB / CRUMBLE / BUDDER

Wax/Budder are a polycrystal. That means the pattern has been broken up and there are many fine grain boundaries between a lot of tiny crystals. Wax/Budder is opaque because the light gets bent too many times by the multiple grain boundaries and can’t pass through. Cannabinoid Carboxylic acids are polymorphous. That means they can crystallize into different forms depending on conditions, mainly heat.

Budder retains more of the terpenes so it tends to be more flavorful but a bit less potent with 70%THC percentages in some batch. It has this creamy consistency from being whipped

Oil tends to be the least refined of the three product. It is mainly gooey, sticky liquid that is kinda hard to handle. This form is known as Butane hash oil or Honey oil. It can retain a full flavor profile, however, THC % tend to be less consistent. .

THERE ARE 3 TYPES OF SOLVENT EXTRACT (Butane, Co2, Alcohol)

• Butane Extraction
  The Butane extraction uses a chamber filled with dried cannabis. The chamber is flushed with butane to extract the compounds from the marijuana. The butane should then be aired leaving behind the extract known as BHO (Butane Hash Oil). To make Shatter the BHO is purged. There are several different ways of purging the BHO to produce Shatter including applying heat and vacuum seal.
  

• Co2 Extraction
  Co2 extraction uses an airtight chamber filled with herb and removes the extracts by compression. Like with Butane extraction methods, the oil that is refined through Co2 extraction must be purged and put through a second extraction process to remove any excess plant material. This second process can uses a pressure vacuum. This technique allows for basically everything except THC to be pulled from the extraction. It is very common for Co2 extract concentrates to reach 90% or higher THC. That makes it one of the purest.

• Isopropyl Alcohol Extraction
  Quick Wash Alcohol with Isopropyl 99% extraction technique use the same process than Butane or CO2, you wash dried and frozen plant material (cold temperature boost the extraction ratio) mixed with Isopropyl very quickly to extract all cannabinoids and let the Iso alcohol evaporate by room temp or heat. This is the safest and quickest method to extract Cannabis Oil into good Hash/Oil using solvents/alcohol, you can control the quality by adjusting the right temperature for Iso evaporation

2. HEAT-PRESSURE EXTRACTION or ROSIN TECH

This technique grew up recently. The rosin technique has been gaining a lot of traction in the cannabis industry since it is a quite simple and affordable way to produce a quality product within seconds. This simple technique separates resin from the plant material by using heat and pressure. The yields are very similar to other extraction techniques between 10-15% and with a very high quality product.People tend to do it at home with small quantities and hair straightener (commonly referred to as a flat iron). 3. ICE EXTRACTION

Basically the colder temperature you can reach the more compounds you will extract from plant material. There are two different methods with Ice. Dry ice, and Ice-o-Lator (cold Water with Ice)
A serie of successively smaller mesh-screen bags are placed one inside the other and put in a bucket. Dried-Frozen plant material is placed into a separate mesh bag with a larger screen size than any of the other bags (often 220 microns or above). You then need to wash and shake the material/ice mix to start the extraction.
This method produces different grades of hash, the smallest screen size (25-45 microns) is often the finest quality and the larger screen sizes (90-220 microns) produce hashish of lower quality with more plant material.

• 160 microns will catch mid-grade with a bit more green stuff

3.1 DRY ICE Extraction

Dry ice, sometimes referred to as "cardice" (chiefly by British chemists), is the solid form of carbon dioxide. It is used primarily as a cooling agent. Its advantages include lower temperature than that of water ice and not leaving any residue (other than incidental frost from moisture in the atmosphere). You can find it easily on internet.Using it with good screen will allow you to extract very quickly the resin.

In my experience it’s one of the best hash i’ve smoked if done from decent Cannabis strains.

3.2 ICE-O-LATOR

Using several bags / screens, the water is then agitated, freezing and hardening all the crystals trichomes and allowing them to snap off and be suspended in solution. That mixture is poured into the bag-lined bucket, and as is passes through successively-smaller screen sizes, the larger particles and residual plant material are trapped and this is how to get your final product. Remove the water, dry off or heat your hash accordingly to expected end product quality
Ice-o-Lator hash is excellent and very high quality but it has a bit less terpenes (aroma/flavor) than other extraction because of the water. You need to apply a decent curing or heating method that’s why I prefer Dry Ice hash.

4. SIEVING or DRY-SIEVE

The Dry-sieve technique is the most popular method to extract hash because it’s still used in Morocco which is Hashish world’s biggest producer with Afghanistan. Here, fully-grown harvested and dried plants are shaken or rubbed over a fine-mesh screen to capture the powdery, crystalline resin called Trichomes as it falls from the plant. The size of the mesh dictates the quality of the resulting hash: a fine screen will produce high-quality hash, a screen with wider gap will produce lower grade hash with more plant material contained within the mix. This is still very pure and natural hash.
When using this sieving method, the length and intensity of the shake will also produce multiples results. To produce the highest-quality dry-sieve hashish, such as the types known as Double Zero, King Hassan and Ketama Gold, good-quality plants are shaken over a fine screen for just 1 minute or 2, to capture only the ripest and most developed trichomes. Shaking for longer produces lower-grade hash with more plant matter.

5. HAND-RUBBED - CHARAS

Charas is made from living plants and Hash from dead plants
The Hand-rubbing is the second most popular technique. Widely practised in India, Nepal, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bhutan and Myanmar and exported throughout the world.This hash is usually dark, sticky and very pungent. With this method, the resin is typically collected from living plants still in the field, we call it Charas. Hash-makers will spread their arms and hands and run through fields of mature cannabis plants, catching the sticky resin on their skin and then roll the extracted material into balls and left to curing process: in the case of charas, this “curing” stage may be several years in duration.
The quality of hand-rubbed hash can be affected by the quality of the plant itself, as well as the strain or by the care taken to avoid including plant material. A proper curing time for this hashish is also particularly important as the fresh plants contain a vast quantity of moisture that must be removed for better taste and quality.

6. NON-PURE HASH & SOAP BAR

This is the most unpure Cannabis and common hash you will find everywhere very easily. It’s mostly done from low quality press moroccan hash kief cut with several bad stuffs. It's contaminated with all sorts of things that makes it cheaper but it builds a really false economy as it is often harder to get stoned correctly or if you are, it’s essentially because of the chemical/ toxic adulterants, not THC : Beeswax, turpentine, milk powder, ketamine, boot polish, henna, pine resin, aspirin, animal turds, ground coffee, barbiturates, glues and dyes plus carcinogenic solvents such as Toluene and Benzene and more.

It’s the most common type of hash every smoker has necessary experienced. Called SOAP BAR in the UK, it's called "soap" because a 100g or 250g bar is really shaped like a bar of soap. In the E.U they essentially have 100g bar.
You can find different type of Soap from the lowest to average quality. At worst there may only be a tiny amount of low grade hash mixed with some very strange stuff so the customer is not able to realize the scam.

From my own experience i can say this type of low grade hash represents more than 80% of the european hash market (almost $ 10 billion USD). A kilo is sold between 1800 and 4000 USD and countries where Cannabis is not legal (France/Germany/ etc.) are facing large amount of this low quality hash (we can say almost Fake as some Bar does not have more than 20% real hash in it)

7. THE FAKE HASH SCAM REVEALED

With Soap bar i thought i found one big scam over Cannabis market for billion dollars. But overall soap bar still contain some real Hash. What ilf they found a solution to produce same-to-real Hash but without using any Cannabis ? I then start investigating on it like 10 years ago because of the RC.
‘Research chemical' (RC) is a term applied to a large variety of psychoactive drugs that are implicitly sold for a scientific and medical research use. Many R.C are structurally similar to scheduled chemicals, and could be considered to be analogues but are often modified. Despite the evident analogy with scheduled compounds, RC fall into a legal grey-area under U.S. law. Since the chemicals are marketed for legitimate purposes (i.e. not for human use), their possession and distribution does not necessarily contravene the Analog Act but finally went illegal almost everywhere at least in Europe (recently).
RCs have not been through clinical trials and are therefore not approved as safe for human consumption. The short and long-term safety profiles of their use are not well established in most cases.

To start producing a Fake hash they had to think and find all parameters : Effect, Texture, Smell & Flavor.

7.1 They found a way to reproduce THC effect

Looking in this Research Chemical market, i was looking for all type of synthetic cannabinoids to find the same effect. 10 years ago there were not much types of RC for cannabinoids, and they were sold with claims that they give the effects of cannabis but it was quite different in my opinion. Way more heavy and you will never have the real Cannabis high effect.
Nowadays, things has changed they have over hundred synthetic cannabinoids that can be mixed in suitable quantities to produce real strong and similar to THC effect. They did find the way to reproduce the Effect or something very close so people who are not used to smoke real THC would not make any difference.

7.2 They found a way to reproduce Hash texture

Of course to make 100% fake hash they had to find the best material or texture that would look like hash, burn like hash, even smell like hash. This is the secret is given here on Steemit !

They use a natural plant resin Mix which remain for now secret, but the results of several years of research done mainly in Eastern europe countries gave this Mafia the good recipe. Some fake Hash recipe are done differently. People can add specific type of Incense in the fake resin (or even real hash) those incense are manufactured specifically for this purpose and will give this Afghan incense taste to the Hash.

(You can clearly buy it cheaper if you are really looking to produce this resin in those factory. I heard from a pretty decent source that a kg of fake resin can be produce at 20$USD/kg with a Minimum Order quantity of 100kg)

Let’s say 1000$ of this Fake resin because you will not use the whole 10kg to produce your 10kg Hash (since you’re adding RC and more).

We know have 3500$ RC + 1000$ RESIN, having our Texture and Effect. We now look for Smell, Smoke-Flavor.

7.3 They found a way to reproduce Hash smell/flavor

There are multiple ways to reproduce Hash smell/flavor. It will never be similar to real hash but very close to it.

The first solution is Charas type indian/nepalese incense. You can also find factory (try Alibaba.com) that can produce this type of Incense. It even seems than they are facing a lot of demand about Incense smelling like Hash.

The second solution i will expose is the one used by fakehash.com. They use Organic Pure Hemp Essential Oil. This is essential Oil made from the flowers, stems, and leaves of a cannabis plant. The plant matter is distilled using low pressure steam to get the highest quality essential oil. The more gentler the distillation process the more aromatic compounds remain, increasing the subtle quality of the oils.
Hemp essential oil does not contain any THC or CBD. This product is not intended to be used in smoke but mainly in aromatherapy. But some of those oil can really smell and burn like real Cannabis / Hash smell.

Fakehash say they use 5g (5ml) for 1kg, i suggest using at least 20g for 1kg to get decent Aroma Hash. You would prefer also the Sativa oil.

For our 10kg FAKE HASH production we need 200gr of Sativa Essential Hemp oil. It will cost around 500$.

So Suppose you want to sell it very fast and at a good price, we will say 15000$ USD. That’s still a 10 000$ USD profit and you are actually NOT REALLY SCAMING your buyer since this is what he would normally buy in the market even higher...
