"What's the purpose of life?" is a stupid question, in that each man is an individual. There should be, indeed an equal multitude of purposes as there exist a multitude of men. Right? Maybe not!
There is one major generalization that one can make that I contend includes all men to some degree or another... our primary purpose is to get laid.
Note that I am using 'man' and 'men' in this article because I am one, and I am not going to pretend to understand women generally and any specific woman for certain, on this particular morning of October 1st 2023. Women remain a mystery to me.
The main drives for men is to get laid. This is compounded when one is a younger man, and many of us cannot objectively think at all from 14 to 33 because of it.
People have theorized that all other goals of a man in his life, can be derived back to this one drive, the sex drive.
- Make money... to spend money to attract women to get laid.
- Work out... to build up muscle to attract women to get laid.
- Write a book... to show off your creativity and brain to attract women to get laid.
- Eat healthy... to live longer to have more days to attract women to get laid.
- Drive a sports car... to attract women to get laid.
Sex drive does peter out slightly as one ages. But it's still the prime motive for man's actions.
I do not assume that I will die for certain, anytime soon. As longevity technology might actually work in time for a 50 year old to 'live long enough to live forever'.
Human longevity tosses a wrench into the gears that is man's prime motive; sex.
Sex, specifically male on female copulation is all about reproduction. Passing on them 'selfish genes' as Richard Dawkins would write.
Our selfish genes are the basic reason we get an erection. You might think it's because of good looking females, boobs and butts... but the reason you think boobs and butts are attractive is because your selfish genes just want to inseminate an egg with one of your billions of sperm.
So generally at a base level man's purpose is to pass on our genes. If I am observing society objectively, I think that's what most everyone is doing.
