Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee has announced that she will shoulder the responsibility of the families of those killed in the central forces firing in Shitalkuchi, West Bengal. Black Day is being observed across the state on Sunday in honor of the victims. He also called the killings "genocide".
Meanwhile, Mamata was supposed to go to Shitalkuchi today. However, he could not go because of the Commission's ban. However, the Trinamool chief has spoken to the families of the victims in a video conference through a press conference since this morning. At the conference, Mamata promised to stand by the families of the victims. He also said that he would try to meet them next Wednesday.
