The whispers of my heart.
Grevilleas and grasses. Shards of Crystal Light. ~Ally.
Whenever I set out to go to the Roseville Lake, I always have a sense that this Beautiful Day is going to offer me so many Magical Moments.
At the Roseville lake: Nocturnal spiders had spread veils over twigs, native grasses and wildflowers, all around the lake. Veils now bejeweled, as the first rays of the sun forging through the fog, fell upon them. ~Ally.

Green is the predominant colour in the natural surroundings of the Lake. The indigenous grasses have the most beautiful subtle tones of golden tans blending into sap and olive greens.
When absorbed, green can have the most wonderful restorative effects on the whole of our being. Energizing and yet calming, green is a balm to the heart: Helping to restore harmony and balance.
The color for @kalemandra's Color Challenge today, Thursday is Green. And I hope these photographs bring something of the magic of green to you.
This is beautiful Ally ! I love the shots of grasses and the way nature is playing with transparency, water, sun, fog and all these ingredients that make a magic and poetic potion ^_^
Sure seems to be a magical place with all these amazing images do beautiful
Have a great day
Sure was Jay.
A foggy day is quite a rarity in Sydney. The lake is actually a man-made lake on a golf course. Have to be there very early, before the golfers arrive. I go there regularly, but it was especially magical that day, in the fog with all the grasses covered in dew. 🦋
I love how the fog can give a magical feel, I have bene thinking about doing a stroll around one of the local golf course early morning here, must do it one morning if its foggy now that you mention it they have a few little lakes on the course could n=make for cool shots
Have a great day
Even without the fog ~ Early morning sunrises over a lake can be wonderfully energizing. Good for the spirit ~ And photographer Jay.
Very early in the morning or towards dusk, being on 'our' golf course is like having our own English manor estate.
Look forward to seeing your impressions of your golf course now. 🦋
that sound idyllic, I was talking to a golfer at the beach tonight and he said on the one I was thinking going to they have security camera watching the entrance and a guard room so t o get permission if I plan to go there, that really surprised me
Afraid you'll run off with a few missing golf balls?
I guess golf courses are prime real estate ~ Or can be 'lonely places' where strangers loiter.
So pleased not to have this sort of restriction here Jay. The green-keepers just wave and smile and often tell me if there's something of interest to see/photograph. 🦋
Yeah it came across as so bizarre to me, but will see what I can find out :)
Love all your pictures here! The webs with droplets are magical... My absolute favourite is the second picture of the lake in fog... Unforgettable... I need to find and post some of mine too... 🎕 Have a great weekend, my friend...
Thanks so much @ackhoo.
I love landscape photography ~ Admired so many European foggy landscapes on IG. And finally, a foggy morning came and it was wonderful to be able to capture some of 'the mystery' of it all.
Love being in open spaces and there are so many other places in Oz that would be amazing to photograph.
You have images of foggy landscapes? Look forward to seeing them. 🦋
Ohhh the Oz landscapes are incredible... Love the trees! We were up at the highlands in Bali recently, and it was raining - the misty scenes on the road with the trees were wonderful... :) Also a lake that 'disappeared' - the temples looked like they were floating in whiteness, nothingness... :))
Your blog is a true exhibition, a photographic art exhibition!
Foggy days are rare, but I've NEVER seen native grasses with tiny icicles on them like this before.
I like series of images that provide an overall picture of a situation or environment, in both drawing and photography. Wonderful that you see this series as a 'photographic art exhibition' ~ Thank you so much @bluemoon. 🦋
I must to thanks, all is so beautiful!
Great captures! The praying orchid bud is wonderful! And also the Banksias, never seen those before!
Thanks so much @rem3600. Will have to go to the lake again soon, as the bud is probably open now.
I'm so pleased you like that particular image. It really felt like a prayer posture. Hard to see, but there's a droplet of water inbetween the two 'hands' with the grasses reflected in it.
So many different types of Banksias. The 'Old Man Banksia' is one of my favorite trees. Fabulous to be near, on those times when you need wise counsel and grounding. Have photographed them a lot ~ Have such an ancient beauty. 🦋
I did see the droplet, but not the reflection, very cool! The Banksias only grow in Australia, says wikipedia, and I've never been there, so that might be why :D I think they are beautiful!
Im really like Webs of Crystal Light 😍
So pleased that you see the beauty of these webs @guppy.
Seriously u r creative. Beautiful things like this makes me forget my sorrows for a while
Thanks so much @ewuoso. As 'they' say: 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder' so that once we see beauty somewhere, it indicates something in us is alive to 'beauty' and then we can see it everywhere around us.
Than you
Utterly beautiful photos, preparing me for the coming autumn and winter! That's a time of rest and recovery to me! Thanks fot sharing this beauty with us, Allison! 😃
Thanks so much Patrick. We don't have a lot of fog or mist in Sydney, so this particular day had a magic all of its own.
At Instagram, I was loving all the images people were sharing of their European scapes of ice and snow, fog and mist. Maybe I'll see some of yours very soon?
I am overwhelmed! So incredible...the twig...the Banksias! The web looks like a string of pearls.
Upvoted and resteemed.
Thanks so very much Samantha. I was totally overwhelmed by the beauty that was there that day too.
Everywhere I looked ~ Everything was so exquisite ~ Added to by the sense of it being so transitory. Was so happy that I was there early that day. Really appreciate the sharing. 🦋
