Purple Princess Flower.
White Roses with Turquoise Duck Feathers.
Self-reflection. Wise counsel. Power of penetrating words. ~Ally.
For the past two days, it has been bitterly cold and extremely windy in Sydney. To say it's been 'challenging' is an understatement. For instance: It took three hours for me to return home from my morning yoga class, due to train delays, due to an 'incident' on the Harbour Bridge, due to the 106 kilometer per hour 'cyclonic-strength' winds.
Although, three hours of waiting at train stations and bus stops and walking in the blustering icy wind was nothing compared to the inconvenience others may have suffered, with flights being canceled, or property damaged as walls collapsed and glass windows shattered.
On the positive side, I've never seen such a clear and bright blue sky for eons and to see so many stars at night has been such a delight.
And the tranquility of this new and Beautiful Day was enough to soften the heart and spirit once again.
And now: I'm really happy to present 'Purple Princess' for @kalemandra's Color Challenge for Sunday Purple as well as my own establishing Gallery: Magical Moments.

About my work.
Small ephemeral art pieces are created from flowers and plants combined with other natural materials that I find in the local bushland or surrounding urban streets.
As my arrangements fall into place, so many magical moments are granted to me. And often as I write, new understandings come to me as well. I hope this flatlay arrangement of white roses and purple tibouchinas with dried hydrangeas, crystals and feathers, can leave you with an ever deepening appreciation of Nature's Beauty, along with a wish for the wisdom that comes with self-reflection ~ So that the words we offer to others can be nurturing and uplifting.
Magical Moments is not a 'challenge' ~ My vision is that it will become more a 'Curated Gallery' where selected contributions will be Upvoted and Resteemed and in time awarded ~ In some as yet unknown way.
An article for Magical Moments can simply be an image or set of images and/or descriptions that have the power to transport your audience to the special space (outer and/or inner) that you were in, when you experienced that 'Magical Moment.'
Sounds like a nightmare with all the delays and that is damn strong winds, hope it is settling down for you
Yes. Super strong winds. Perhaps not as strong as others have known with cyclones and hurricanes but the strongest I've experienced.
Looking out my window in the morning and seeing sunshine. Thinking: Another divine Spring like day. Was quite faulty thinking Jay. So I was absolutely freezing.
A couple of years ago we had the edge of a hurricane pass by we were all safe but the winds were so extreme was real scary
Stay safe and have a good day
In one sense it's good to experience this fear. A good reality check.
Was sailing with my sister and partner from the tip of Oz down through the reefs to Cairnes. With a hurricane behind us. We couldn't land and my sister had to continue sailing, by herself through the night (I stayed up with her, but wasn't much help ~ And it was her partner's time for sleeping.) With lightning out at sea and on the mainland CONNECTING ~ It was the most unforgettable night of my life.
There's so much power in the elements of nature. In the end, we will always have to bend to her ways.
WOW thats must have been such a scary experience but looking back on it must give an strong base to respect and be in awe of the power of nature
That's for sure. And great respect for my sister as well. She's a qualified skipper and handled the boat all by herself. Not an idle moment. From being out on deck and then down to look at the radar charts, as we were sailing over the reef ~ In UN-chartered territory.
Beautiful arrangement! Gad you got home safely - sounds lots was going on.
The strong winds have died down now Marianne. Would have been far more exhilarating being by the ocean, with super high waves (as a friend told me yesterday) instead of walking along side heavy traffic. Still, it was an experience and arriving home was appreciated a lot more than usual.
Really pleased you like the arrangement. The white roses were exquisite to work with. Looking forward to the summer roses again now.
It will be fun to see what you will create with the summer roses :)
I've just started to draw again Marianne ~ Not a lot ~ But a start. Hope to have something to share tomorrow. Maybe by the time the summer roses are blooming I'll feel confident enough to draw them too. 🦋
Ooh what an experience full of intensity ! It's good to be safe after such severe weather...well it's better to be safe while the bad weather also ;-)
Beautiful assemblage you have made here Ally, I love the soft tons and the feathers ^_^
It REALLY was Barbara. Apart from any potential danger from 'flying objects' the wind has such an unsettling effect on our emotional being. I was so grateful to finally reach the safety and calm of home.
Our weather has been SO intense and volatile lately. Settling down (for) now and it's another beautiful day again. It hasn't rained for at least 4 weeks and parts of the garden are looking a little 'lacklustre.'
So pleased you like this work now too. Love working with feathers. I see them just about every time I'm out walking. White fluffy ones from cookatoos and these black and white ones that flash turquoise (which unfortunately you can't see in these images) from native ducks on the local 'lake.'
You are amazing Ally. Thank you for sharing, as always. Your assemblages are truly Divine.
I am also digging a personal synchronicity ~ today's Reiki Boost Healing Invocation is all about embracing the winds of change :)
Much Love my friend! Bright Blessings!
Thank you so VERY much @reiki-trail.
Embracing the winds of change is SO vital to our personal equilibrium isn't it? We are feeling that in so many areas of life. Embracing what we can't possibly change now ~ But also knowing it's a time to come into our 'personal power' so that whatever we can do to bring love and harmony into a relationship, event or situation, we will have the energy to do just that.
Will come and visit you today.
Indeed my friend :) Today I am taking steps to further embrace these changes. I am going to harness the power of the solar eclipse we are having to help with releasing & purification. I am very excited!
Thank you so much for Being YOU Ally - much love & respect!
Those flowers are so beautiful that only a princess has them
Thank you @amedeo. Yes, these flowers were at the peak of their perfection.
That's very true
I love your flower art, and your joyful spirit. And you even have my favorite name... I named my daughter Allison 35 years ago just so I could call her Alli.
So pleased to be sharing my flower art with you Melinda. And the joy that flows from the experience of working with flowers and nature. Lovely to have the name connection now too.
Just for fun, I looked up the meaning of the different variations:
Alli = noble, bright, man's defender, exalted. ❣️
Ally = harmony, stone, noble.❣️
Alison and Allison = noble, kind.
All noble.
As a child, I didn't like my name. People called me Alice, which I disliked even more. Must have had a pretty dreamy nature even then, and wanted to cover it up. 😊
These days I've even (jokingly) called myself 'Alice from Wonderland' 🌷🐛🦋🍄🐞🌷and found that I liked it. Friends have called me Ally for years and I love the simplicity of it.
Amazing photo😃
Thank you @hokkaido.

Hello @elad1982
When you actually ask people to follow you and upvote your posts, it's more likely to have an opposite effect.
Whereas if you make a GENUINE comment about their post, they are more likely to engage with you and then WANT to look at what you are posting as well. If they like, or find your posts interesting, they may upvote and resteem them and then follow you.
