Hey there Jin, welcome to Hive. You've probably gathered by now Hive can be quite a complex eco-system. There are no written rules coz it's decentralised so really you're free to do as you please, but then there are also quite a lot of unwritten should and shouldn't. @traciyork and @steevc have dropped some really useful tips particularly about not posting too often, and I have something pinned to my blog as well if you're interested.

Hope to see you around going forward

Great one, I got a buddy who's a card magician, just released a few gimmicks and getting adopted more and more. Magic is an art form well worth pursuing. Well executed its a thing of beauty

Yeah he's great with coins or a deck of cards some of the things he can do...his names Christian Grace you can see some of his stuff on YouTube.

I also have a buddy that does magic tricks and juggles chainsaws in Central London, while riding a unicycle... In nothing but his underwear. He uses stage names but he always used to work Covent Garden area.

Can find him on youtube too, he does magic and skits in the London clubs now.

Life's best part, interesting friends 😁

It would be great if you upload any new videos to #3Speak

For sure. Thanks for the reminder.

Do you do "real" magic by the way?

Welcome to Hive, Jinn!

Welcome to Hive. Looks like you have plenty to say, but it might be worth holding some posts back until you build more of a following. They can only earn for 7 days. It can take some time, but it is worth putting in the work.

Have fun.

!PIZZA

@jin-out! I sent you a slice of $PIZZA on behalf of @steevc.

Have you voted for Pizza teams Hive witness (pizza.witness)? (2/10)

Hive is different to other platforms. Have a look around and see what others are doing.

I keep an eye out for anyone in the UK and produce a monthly list. That could be useful for when people want to organise events.

I'm in Bedfordshire. I've been to previous meetups in the Midlands and London, but there have not been any recently. I also went to two international events in Portugal and Poland. There are lots of very smart people on Hive trying to create amazing things. We are still quite small, so we need to work on getting it heard about. What brought you to Hive?

I will add you to the list for the post next month. I don't tend to update the old ones as that means a few hundred people get another notification.

I have not seen much magic here, but I expect you can find an audience. Have fun with it.

!BEER

Hey @jin-out, here is a little bit of BEER from @steevc for you. Enjoy it!

I've often find myself now pondering all that has happened in my life, that which was taken away from me with this whole Convid Hoax. Where do I stand in this? I'm still trying to find my way.
But one thing for sure is that i no longer wish to be a part of this corrupt system. You could say i am a little grateful for this whole global tyranny in a way...as it's opened the eyes of my soul much wider to the deception that has been perpetrated on this beautiful earth and it's inhabitants.

Truest thing I have read all day. I can relate to everything here.

Keep your head up my man!

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

I see you and I like the vibe you are bringing to the Hive. Seems like you really have alot to say especially with your video contents. I see that as a good thing.

I plan to open a separate account for video making. I'm still a noob in that area, but it's a skill I want to work on.

Welcome to Hive ✌️

Exactly... Anyone that have a voice really need to use it. English is a foreign language to me so, I really have alot to learn before standing in front of a Camera. But I'm ready to learn on the job.

Learning by pratice with my phone Camera is what I need to do. I'm planning to relocate to a more decent apartment where I can start this immediately.

Hopefully, all these can get started in the first week of next month. Well Done Bro

Welcome to Hive!

It can certainly be a lot to take in and get used to, and there are far too many bots here, but there's also some really great communities, and one of the things I love the most is how often I find myself having very peaceful, calm, long-form conversations with people that I have some major disagreement with... and often ending up following and supporting each other's content moving forward :-)

Feel free to reach out through comments here or Odysee, or via telegram/email (mylastname (a) protonmail) if you have any questions or need any support.

Thanks for doing the great work that you do!

Hello @jin-out! This is @traciyork from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive and introduced yourself to the community - congratulations and welcome! You didn't mention how you happened to find our blockchain home - did an established Hive member tell you about it? If so, you should tag them so they know you're part of the Hive community now!

Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out - Hive Communities

Also, as Hive can sometimes be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide is a growing repository of useful and easy to understand posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.

In addition, since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.

If you have questions, feel free to hop into the OCD Discord server and we'll do our best to answer them, and again welcome to Hive!

Actually, one last thing - your post seems to be taken from the about section of your now deleted YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/c/JinLee/about). Do you have any other social media profiles at the moment? If so, please mention Hive somewhere in a post, bio, or even as a reply, then drop a link back here so that the community knows this is really you and not someone else trying to profit off your awesome content.

Yeah, one of the cool things about Hive is that your content is monetized. One of the not-so-cool things about Hive is how many people want to earn by taking other people's content. That's one of the reasons we have a team of people taking a peek at new people/posts, to help guide them in the right direction (and lower the hammer of doom when necessary... 😉 😂).

And it's not so much we want you to tell other platforms about Hive - it's more we want to confirm that the content you're sharing is yours. So for example, if you have a Twitter/Facebook/Instagram that's older than your Hive account, just do something there to show it's you, like tweet out the link to this post (or your next) and tag me either here or on Twitter. Easy peasy. 😊

And by the way, sharing your stuff on Twitter can also help your content be seen by Hive curators... hint hint 😁

I know it's a lot to wrap your brain around, so please feel free to continue to ask questions. Hope you're having a great weekend!

You're entirely welcome, good sir!

And sadly no, not at the moment. I seem to recall some time ago there was discussion about having a reddit-like front end (and people could opt in with their location) but nothing like that is available at the moment.

You could "filter" by following certain geographical communities (like the London community, which you can see isn't exactly hopping right now) or tags (like #teamuk). I know @steevc also has something called The Brit List which he updates regularly. But if I hear of anything, I'll be sure to shout out!

Welcome to the Hive community @jin-out!
We sincerely hope you find everything you are looking for and have found a new home here.

Seven suggestions to consider:

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, and Keychain,
  3. The owner password is only used to reset compromised passwords,
  4. DO NOT lose your passwords; copy and store offline,
  5. Do not publish other people's work, be it photos or written, without credit, and be sure to source all of your work, even if it is your own.
  6. An introduceyourself tag is used only once, and
  7. Do Not open any links in memos or comments that you do not know who they belong to. If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, so the old saying goes. There is nothing free here.

I found you because @brittandjosie and @jamerussell from @heyhaveyamet presented and promoted your publication to get more exposure and help you grow faster.

If you find yourself overwhelmed and need some guidance, or if you have any questions, there are informed Hivians available who can help you; you can click to go to The Terminal in Discord here:

Have fun and happy Hiving!
