The word nudibranch makes people laugh and snicker but its the scientific name for sea slugs. In my part of the world, slugs on land aren't pretty and are generally deemed a nuisance. My mom despised them because they ate her vegetable garden.
Underwater its completely different. Sea Slugs come in all shapes, sizes and colours. Please rave about how beautiful they are and how stunning the images they take of them.
Let me introduce you to one of those.
This stunning little creature is an Opalescent Nudibranch. This particular slug only grows to a few inches in length but its colour sure stands out on the reef. These creatures are slow moving so capturing a great images is quite easy, get close and fame your images to capture the slugs best side.
Thanks for reading.

Aliens live underwater now i'm sure. I'm not into colors but the shape, the perfection of their shapes. They're like geometrically designed on a paper, without a mistake. Beatuiful.
The sea slug looks crazy!! haha. Did you touch it?
That is one freaky looking creature! I actually never thought I'd say this... but that's a really cool slug! So colourful.
So beautiful! Nice photo, @scottdphoto !! 😊

Not being a diver, I've only had the opportunity to photograph one nudibranch in the intertidal zone here in Tasmania. It was not as nice as that one though. Beautiful find and terrific shot!

great job with this shot! Nudibranch are so small (at least the ones I've come across). You really have to develop an eye to find them
I am excited to see your page and thrilled to see your Ocean photographs :)
I have been enjoying researching and writing about Creatures of the Deep (in steemit), what would it take if I would like to use a photo of yours?
I love the clarity and the intensity of the colors underwater :)
