Thank you so much Melinda :) So you watch these guys up there in Wisconsin? Thats amazing! I wish we had them in contiental Europe where I come from too... Easily one of the most beautiful insects I have ever seen. Thanks for stopping by! :)

Sort:

I live in the woods so I see them infrequently at my house, but by late summer there are many at my towns botanical garden. It takes 3 or 4 life cycles for them to make it this far north.

Yes, I learnt that when I was writing this post... its just fascinating :)

Btw congrats on the huge success of the animal shadow photo contest! I just checked that post and was surprised by how many people have already joined :) Hopefully, all of the entries were really taken by those people though, I am not that sure with some...

I had a bunch of plagerized photos entered this time. They were not upvoted . If you ever see any that I miss feel free to make me aware!

Ok, I will :) I would say most of those entries with unusally high numbers of upvotes are kind of suspicious... I help czechglobalhosts with organizing his photo contests (you might know these) and we have been having major issues with stolen images being submitted in the contests... Honestly, I had no idea plagiarism would be such an issue on Steemit. Definitely one of the biggest disappointments for me :( Thanks for keeping an eye on that in your contests ;)
