A hero shot seemed the most appropriate for the subject. Batman wouldn't have accepted any less.
Technique
The action figure was only ~12 inches tall. In order to get the whole figure in sharp focus, I used a combination of macro shots - a technique called focus stacking. Each of the photos contains a narrow slice of him in focus, which I then combined into the final image.
The main lighting source was off to the left, but I added a fill on the right to illuminate his ripped abs and provide some light to sell the Bat Signal I created in Photoshop.
