Explanation about this Grasshopper I got from website page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belalang_sentadu
Locusts or worship mantis are insects belonging to the Mantodea order. In English, this insect is usually called praying mantis because of his attitude that often looks like he is praying. The word mantis comes from the Greek word "Mantes" meaning "prophet" or "fortune teller". Many titles in the local language, such as congcorang (Sundanese / Betawi language), kadung / kèkèk (Javanese), and mentadak (Malay).

There are about 2,300 species in the Mantodea order around the world; mostly in tropical or sub-tropical regions, but some species live in temperate climates, such as in the northern United States, Central Europe, and Siberia. Grasshopper belong to Mantidae family.
The mantis are one of the few insects that can turn their heads. Some texts refer to European hornbills (Mantis religiosa) as the most common locusts in European countries. Ischnomantis gigas is the largest centipede with a length of 17 cm for the female, and is found in the Sahel region of Africa. The smallest cobblestone is Bolbe pygmaea, which is only 1 cm in length in adulthood.

A pregnant female mantis will produce a large foam mass, called ootheca (plural: oothecae). Ootheca can contain up to 300 eggs, all of which are protected in a foam bag. This oothecae is produced in autumn-and after that adult dead mantis-and hatches in up to five months. [1] Some species hatch in small intervals, and the hatching process can last up to five weeks when before the larvae appears completely. The pregnant female weeds not only produce oothecae, but also the infertile oothecae by unmarried female locusts. Sometimes one or two larvae hatch, but this rarely happens. Some species, such as Brunneria borealis, produce oothecae through parthenogenesis. In these circumstances, male locusts are not required to produce fertile ootheca; however, all the locusts produced from this process are females.

In the US, a species of locusts was first introduced from Europe and China around 1900 as a garden predator in an attempt to control pests. The Carolina's grasshopper is an official insect of the state of South Carolina, and European mantis are the official insects of the state of Connecticut.

Grasshopper is a carnivore, the type of animal commonly preyed on by various locusts, from small insects such as crickets, butterflies, bees, to vertebrate animals such as snakes, rats, lizards, frogs and small birds.
