Macrophotography contest. Yellow flowers as a winter sign in Menorca

No, this is not a joke at all. There is almost no snow on Menorca in winter, with a few exceptions of flying of several snowflakes once a year somewhere in the north of the island. Instead of snow, the only sign that here is the deep winter is the "carpet" of yellow wildflowers.

They blossom in early January and they are still pleasing to the eye now. These flowers are everywhere: on the roadsides, lawns and in our yard as well. Yellow flowers are pretty resistant to weather conditions: they survived when it was +5 at night. Now, of course, there is a paradise for them, since the temperature has risen to +13 at night, and in the daytime, when the sun is in the sky, the air as if it were summer.

I searched on the Internet to find the name of them, but in vain. Maybe, someone knows?

Taking this opportunity, I would like to send greetings from Menorca to all ladies all over the world and congratulate them on the upcoming holiday. Let the snow (if any) not become an obstacle to the spring mood!
