One underused area of photography that I think businesses could utilise more to attract attention to their online presence is macro photography.
Seeing the world in miniature seems to gain immediate attention and encourage people to look at your content that might not otherwise be inclined to take a look. This is because macro photography offers a way for people to see the world from a completely different perspective.
This is only my opinion of course and I'd be interested to hear what people's thoughts are on this so please leave a comment.
When i was a Royal Navy Photographer we were often tasked with macro photography jobs to show defects and damage to pieces of kit, ie the small turbine guide vaines in the air in-take section of a jet engine, sounds boring but it was actually quite an interesting job.
I can see how that would be to be fair
It has an intriguing quality
Nice capture, macro photography is definitely a fascinating subject looking at the smaller things in detail that you normally would miss with the human eye.
It is really difficult to get right as well. Only just starting to experiment with it.
