Although I've been shooting Dragonfly many times, I can't stop myself to take picture of them whenever I get the chance. Sometimes I spend hours until I can take an acceptable photo, sometimes they almost invite me to shoot them. That was the case this morning. I was walking in the park and saw this beautiful dragonfly landing on a stem of blackberry. They usually come and go very fast. This time there was a long time left. I had time to pull out the camera and take some pictures. I was surprised that she stayed so long in one place. I elucidate the mystery when I got home and downloaded my photos. It seemed like my Dragonfly took its breakfast!
I do not really know what she has served! It seems a mosquito to me, but I'm not sure.

Dragonflies are carnivores. They eat all kind of insects! They chase smaller flying insects. Once the dragonfly has its prey, it eats it in midair. If the prey is a larger insect, the dragonfly lands on the nearest branch to gobble it up.
Thank you for stopping by and for your support.
