MacBook Pro - Is it worth Spending your Money?

in #macbook5 years ago

Apple products have their advantages and disadvantages, although without doubt among the latter is the price. They are more expensive than the Windows alternatives and do not usually fall in price until after several years, although it is possible to find some discounts. But the question is, is it worth spending on it?

If you're eager to have the new Apple MacBook Pro, maybe you should think twice. Not only because writing programs are the weakness of this team, but also because the battery life of these notebooks can be miserable. The problem is not entirely new. Many MacBook Pro owners have been complaining on social networks that their Mac have a battery that is short-lived. Yes they are complaining for MacBook’s integrated 63.5 watt lithium.

The MacBook Pro's battery life was "highly inconsistent from one test to another," Consumer Reports said in its review. For example, a MacBook Pro model operated 16 hours in one test and less than four hours in the next. Another obtained a surprising 19.5 hours in its best test, and fell to only 4.5 hours at its worst.

Although battery life may vary from test to test, usually, battery life only varies about 5% from test to test. The 15-inch version received a score of 56 points out of 100. The 13-inch version, without the new Touch Bar, scored 47, and the 13-inch version with Touch Bar only scored 40 points.

That's way below the MacBook Air score (70 out of 100), which costs half the price of the MacBook Pro. The Acer Aspire of $ 585 even got a higher score than the new MacBook that received a total of 81 points over 100. It is the first time that consumer reports tells consumers not to buy a MacBook. An Apple spokesman declined to respond when asked for a statement.

Apple says the new MacBook Pro have a battery life of 10 hours. The most notable new feature of the new computers is the Touch Bar, a touch-sensitive bar above the keyboard that changes functions based on the program that is active on the screen.

Consumer Reports and Apple have a complicated history. The magazine did not recommend the iPhone 4 because of the signal problems of its antenna, even despite rating the phone with a better score than any other smartphone in the market.

That led to a sullen Steve Jobs giving a press conference announcing that Apple would give all iPhone 4 customers a free case.
