The Story starts with voice over of Arfa Khan telling her school journey and says 1990 was the year when her story started when there was no internet, mobiles, no fb, nothing. She says there was just radio. She imagines a fb, Arfa dances listening song on radio. She tells that phone talk was important as people used to wait in line to talk to their love ones. She says there was no SRK, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan or any film posters. She says she was 16 years old studying in school. Arfa ’s friend Misba tries to Story off. She asks Arfa to get her hair cut done. Arfa refuses and says she is waiting for Farheen Teacher. Arfa says that Farheen Teacher was popular among boys and was good teacher too. Arfa gets up.
Farheen Teacher:Imran came first in the test and gives papers to everyone.
Arfa checks and counts her marks.
Arfa : Farheen Teacher i got 4 marks, but you have given 3.
Farheen Teacher: Arfa stood first even in this test and appreciates her. Arfa tells that she was mad about marks, but a guy far away from her in Nainital, don’t care about his own life. Zayn performs stunts while his friends cheer for him. They see Principal coming in his car. Zayn falls on the car front side and says good morning sir.

Arfa voiceover says that she will introduce her family now. Arfa and Farha came home. Arfa's Chachi and Farha’s mum scold them for breaking their chappal. Jethani looks at them. They start singing bhajan and then stops.
Chachi: Zoya will get married, and Farha will also marry, but am worried about Arfa.
Arfa:Someone will marry me like Chacha married you. Chachi looks at her in a shy way.
Farha: Arfa i failed in the test and got just 7 marks and please don’t tell anyone about this.
Arfa: I will not lie.
Farha:Please add 1 with blue pen same as teacher.
Arfa :I never thought that i will lie, but lied a lot of times for Zayn.

In a meantime Zayn gets scolded by the principal for saving his friends.
Principal:I will see who will save you.Our school reputation gets ruined because of such rich and spoilt kids.
Arfa’s voiceover says Zayn had to left boarding and came to Ahmedabad to his Nana’s house, in our city. Arfa and Farha dances while watching TV catching signal when some guy manages to repair the antenna. Taya ji and Tayi ji see them dancing and scolds them. Arfa’s Chacha Subhan: When we have TV, kids will see.
Tayi ji:They were dancing on filmy song and scolds Arfa and says your Taya is a big lawyer, and Chacha is CA.
Taya ji:Scolds Subhan and says she is a motherless girl and that’s why we gave her responsibility to you.

Voiceover says whenever Taya ji bursts out his anger on them, Chacha ji used to take them out to have pani puris. Arfa and Zayn collide, but don’t see each other. He buys mineral water from the shop. Shop keeper asks if anyone is unwell at home. Arfa’s voiceover says those days people used to think the person as fool who buys water from shop. Arfa and Farha have pani puri. Zayn sees chewing gum on her hairs and asks a boy to give paper to Arfa. Arfa sees him waving hand as he goes in auto. She opens it and see sketch. She finds chewing gum in her hairs and panics.

Nanu asked Servant about the bag. He says Zayn came.
Nanu asked Zayn why didn’t you inform me?
Zayn comes to him and greets him.
Nanu says how did you come?
Zayn says we will talk tomorrow and says good night. Nanu goes.
Arfa gets ready to go to school. Chachi asks why she is looking different. Arfa says nothing. Farha comes hiding the magazine. Chachi takes it. Farha and Arfa will go to school. Farha tells her that Taya ji and their brother is not at home, so she can open her hairs and walk freely with her hair cut. As Arfa walks with her opened hairs, Chandani song plays, all guys keep their eyes hooked on her flying hairs. Voiceover of Arfa says Zayn was still sad though.

Servant informs Zayn that his mum came.
She says I am your mum. Nanu says you are everyone‘s mum:P.
Zayn’s Mom : your father was in meeting when your principal called and tells that you are irresponsible, reckless etc. She says your father felt humiliated.
Zayn : I am not his son and I am still Shaik and walks away.
Arfa’s voiceover says drama used to happen in our house daily. Kid tells Tayi ji that he found hairs in chachi’s dustbin. Tayi ji is shocked. Tayi ji comes to Asma Chachi’s house and asks did you get your hairs cut. Asma Chachi says no and shows her hairs. Tayi ji says then from where did those hairs come.

Asma thinks Farha got her hairs cut. Farha and Arfa came home. Zoya scolds them and says they think you as fool…mummy.
Asma runs following Farha and beats her.
Farha : Arfa what i should tell and finally tells that mummy i got 7 marks in maths.
Father: Are you failed?
Farha : Arfa told me to make 7 as 17 and gave me pen.
Arfa’s voiceover tells it was their trick to put blame on others son that they can get saved from punishment. She pulls Arfa’s hair belt and see her hairs. They all get shocked.
