People often say: loving someone is caring more about their happiness than your own.
And I think that’s wrong.
I think loving someone means to care about their happiness as much as you care about your own.
Because you can’t be truly happy just because your partner is happy. You can’t be happy through someone else happiness. It’s not realistic.
But when you two are both happy, and you two share your happiness with the other, that’s love.
Because love is about sharing what you have on the inside with your significant other.
Love is being complete and even when you know you’re complete, still wanted to share all your wholeness with someone.
Because love isn’t about finding your other half, or the missing piece.
Is about finding someone that knows that you’re already whole and wants to be whole too by your side.
And I think that’s what happiness and love are about. Not something someone else is gonna give it to you. But something it already exists inside of you that eventually you’re going to share with others.
It’s not something you’ll find in others.
It’s something you’ll find in you.
