A lovely poem for a lovely Thursday! May all your words today be laced with love!
Sometimes the word isn't enough and you just have to feel it!
A word so big
That I choke on the single syllable.
Laying next
To your softly sleeping form
Shifting
Under my fingertips.
I am consumed
And sputtering
As The Word
Fills my throat.
My chest.
The soft rise and fall
Of your breath..
A lilting melody.
A symphony.
In my soul.
It resides there..
Somewhere.
Filling the lulls
Between your heartbeat
And mine.
Stealing kisses
And brushing curls.
A warm swell
That Word..
When you sigh
Against my fingertips.
Dreamless and calm.
Surrendering
To your surrender
As everything else
Simply falls away.

Yes, love indeed is more than just a four-letter word. There are even times when words are not enough to explain what it is especially for someone who is able to experience it. :)
