A LETTER TO TOMMY

Sophie and Tommy where lovers, he wanted to give her everything, flowers, present and most of all a wedding ring. They both had dreams of owning a house by the sea side, where the will wake up to the rising sun and feel the cool breeze of the sea together with their kids. Together their love blossomed and spread like wild fire, even the blind in Little ville could see their love and the deaf could hear of how people spoke of the pair. They where a perfect example of what true love really is.
Life, like the say is not fair and full of mysteries. Tommy worked as an engineer at the city construction site and on this unfaithful afternoon he was involved in an accident and was no more, but before he drew his last breath, he mumbled this words "Tell Sophie i love her".

Devastated by the news, tears flowed down Sophie's chin uncontrollably, no one was able to console the poor damsel, and in her weary state, she wrote a letter to Tommy in the great beyond.

Dear Tommy
So you couldn't wait for me to tell you the news of our three weeks old baby, you couldn't wait to say goodbye, you could wait to tell me you love me one last time before you left.
If wishes where horses beggars like me will play polo, i wish i can trade the whole world just to get you back from the cold hands of death and from the wicked claws of the keeper of hades.
It's an empty void out here without you and i doubt if i can keep up or ever get use to living without you, please wait for me my love i will be with you in no distant time.

Sophie was found dead the next morning as she had slit her wrist. They where both buried side by side close to each other, where the can continue their love from the great beyond.
Everyone in Little ville kept asking, "Why do good things not last"?.
