Lesson: Popularity, wealth, public acclaim and superstar status are not the only indices of divine approval. Obedience and righteous living are the hallmarks of a life that pleases GOD and has both tangible earthly and everlasting consequences.
Remember that decades after the beautiful flowers and luxuriant leaves might have rotted away, the otherwise unattractive wood still keeps, still functions, still finds use. Your appearance in Forbes could be the flower, the five thousand Naira spent on someone else’s health or education could be the wood.
It is a new day, stop chasing shadows and ephemerals, invest in things that will outlive your last breath!
