Love for humanity

in #love7 years ago

The old man was handicapped, blind, and even unable to feed himself.

Fulfilling a promise to a dear friend, Abu Bakr arrived at the old man’s home and quietly asked if he was hungry.

The old man nodded.

Abu Bakr put a morsel of food in the old man’s mouth and much to Abu Bakr’s surprise; the old man began weeping uncontrollably.

“Prophet Muhammad is dead, isn’t he?”

“Yes,” replied Abu Bakr, astonished, “But how did you know?”

“Because, Muhammad knew I’m toothless, and would individually moisten the morsels before placing them in my mouth.”

Such is love for humanity.
