Like I said in one of my recent posts; love alone is never guaranteed to give you all the fairytale ending that you need in your relationship with your partner. A lot of other things are needed amongst which forgiveness is one.
Permit me to say this, if you really love someone truly; forgiving them when they wrong you wouldn't be a big deal. However forgiveness is quite technical when you are in love with someone else.
Let me also tell you that forgiveness is important for you not because they deserve it but because you deserve to be free. That being said you should always be ready to forgive everyone especially your partner so you can live a peaceful life.
To some you would seem weak, to others you may seem stupid, allowing your partner get away with offending you without necessarily reacting or giving up on them. At the same time also you should be sure to know if this person is worth staying with or not.
You see forgiveness for others is compulsory for you to be happy. Forgive them even when it seems hardest. There you would find peace of mind and rest for your soul
