You’re human, I’m human, we are all human. As humans, we do humanly things like make mistakes. Recently I made a big mistake, and I was having a hard time dealing with it. Even though my mistake was unintentional and made with a good heart, it still tore me up because it ended up being the “wrong” decision. It kept me up at night, and I just couldn’t sleep because all I could think about was the repercussions and the stress I may have caused others.
As hard as it currently seems, the truth is, all mistakes are life lessons. If we can see the value in mistakes, we can own it and learn from them.
Here are a couple techniques I used to help overcome my mistake:
#1. Acknowledge you made a mistake
Sometimes the hardest thing is to admit to yourself that you made a mistake. OMG, you’re not perfect? WOW shame on you… obviously I’m just kidding. If you can acknowledge that you made a mistake in the first place, you are well on your way to working through it.
#2. Adopt a growth mindset
Failure, roadblocks and life will get in your way, constantly! If you accept that failure is a part of your journey, and view it as part of the growth processes, it just makes it easier to swallow. Think about it, if you make a big mistake, it probably will never happen again.
#3. Own your mistake
So, you made a mistake, now where do you go from here? When you make a mistake, you must take ownership of it. Apologies to people you have hurt, wronged, or affect. Not only will people appreciate an apology, but it will also make you feel better.
#4. Forgive yourself
At the end of the day, if you still feel guilt after practicing steps 1-3, realize you are doing it to yourself. Only you can make yourself feel better. Be kind to yourself and realize, you are human! Mistakes were made, you dealt with them, and now wallowing in guilt does nothing. Nothing good will come out of it! The best thing you can do for yourself is to learn from your mistake and grow.
Love,
Karen
It's hard when you see everyone prospering ahead of you to take a step back and say "I have my own pace", it's harder when its your 3 sisters and you are the one struggling to start your 'adult' life. Take it in strides and move on is a great mindset-but very hard to put into practice...I'm still learning.
thanks for this awesome comment. Taking your own pace is the best pace! :) Thanks for stopping by.
Very good! Those times do come and they can be very hard- this is an excellent post.
And a really cool pic at the end! :)
On an amusing note, my business partner and I were looking over our crypto coin investments this morning and I was berating him...something about not getting so excited about the developments of one of them("fundamentals") that we end up buying a bunch of it without looking at the price action ("technicals").
And within the hour afterwards, the darn thing went on to rise 40 percent in a single day when just about everything else on coin marketcap was red.
I was of course entirely and glaringly wrong... I swear we must have laughed until we could hardly breathe. Stupid coin :)
Hahaha I agree. Sometime all you can do is laugh and say, oh well! Thanks for the crypto story! Hope all is well with you 😀
Thanks, you too! You're looking good up there! :) Collarbone knitting up nicely?
Feeling good! Doctors appointment Tuesday to check up on it! 😀
ah good! :)
Everything in life is meant to help us grow. As soon as we see that, we can find meaning in even the worst possible things and our situation is always improving on some deeper level.

Enjoyed reading your post, yup, we all make mistakes and shouldnt beat ourselves up when we make them ( even though its hard sometimes..) by acknowledging our mistakes and not blaming someone else , we have a better chance of learning from them and becoming a better person . Thanks for the post! Upvoted, great day!
Awww thanks for the sweet comment. Hope you have a fantastic day today!
We make mistakes as part of our nature so that we can eventually learn from it and make ourselves better after.LOve that last photo LOL.

Great read! I have made so many mistakes in my life but they made me the woman I am today. Trial and error.. the best learning school.
Since I joined steemit you're one of the few persons I look up too. I'm always inspired by what you post and how well it speaks to my soul after I read it. Most times it's clear you had gone through similar times but you overcame. And now your mission is to help us all. We've all had our share of personal mistakes that we all try not to repeat and learn from. As you said in the first bullet point, accepting that we've made a mistake would help us grow and be on the pathway to a better future. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
I just joined the Steemit community @kingbach. Would be super happy if I can get a comment from you on one of my posts.
And a follow....I'd practically lose it. Don't blame me a wise woman named Karen once said "You’re human, I’m human, we are all human"
This is beautiful and so important! Sending positive vibes to you!
Nah, don't believe you made a mistake!😃
I still need to tell you on chat... so bad! 😔
Hah.... ok then😆
Ahhh still want to melt thinking about it. But yes trying to take my own advice! 😀
also, what's going on with the market.... Cheyne says it looks like everything is falling apart! LOL Should we be buying LTC right now?
If you're dollar cost averaging - yes! I would say, logically it always makes sense to buy any dip. Pretty obvious, right? Maybe I make a post sometime 😂
Of course, you just missed this one though 🙁
Do you have your account all set up and ready with fiat waiting to buy any dip?
I think is step 1 - heh - as I said a previous post - 'prepare yourselves - buying opportunities are coming! (tm)) 😃 - because a dip can sometimes only last for a matter of days or even hours🙂
uhhh well ummm maybe you can advise me on what I should be using to set up this whole thing! LOL I NEED HELP! OBVIOUSLY! No idea how to do this :)
Gotta take the little money I have and grow it! Is it true that money grows on trees in crpyto world? hahah
Deposit money in coin base :) do dollar cost averaging :) buy extra during a dip! ;)
End outcome: well, who knows!😉
Hey, maybe you can tell me about bitcconectcoin?😉
Where else in the world does anything pay this interest:

Where's the catch? 😳Ponzi? 😮
hehe you're featured in my newest blog! heheh well Jon Snow avatar is too! :) How's today been? Saw the market went up already! YAY!
Yes, the 50% rebound......I'd almost go as far to say it's 100% guaranteed 😀(And I can't think of anything else in the world where you're just about guarenteeed free 💰, with no inside knowledge that is!)
Sold all my trading balance completely again now though!
Always makes me nervous ....but equally so does sitting in crypto!😂
It's really difficult to know which is worse - missing out on potential gains or getting actual losses! Well, everyone in crypto knows this dilemma😂
hahahah you living that gambling life! LOL So far it's been turning out okay for ya. White palace coming up in the near future? Yea? Yea? Yea? :)
It would be pretty neat to pay for a house using crpyto earnings! LOL
